This man changed my life. Before taking his class I failed 3 other finance courses. Now I have changed majors from marketing to finance all because of him! He is inspirational and truly gets you excited about going to class. I used to dread going to school but he gave me a reason to get up in the morning! Definitely take his classes!

If you know how to copy from computer with wifi, you can register his class. Since I didn't know how, I got a C-. I read the textbook, took notes, and learned by myself. Students can open book, open notes, and open computer and phone. The final exam is extremely difficult. Good luck!

He is a good professor with a lot of experience in the finance field. The tests are multiple choice so they arent too hard.

absolute one of the worst professor I have ever taken at sjsu. exams are nothing like lectures or "homework". 10 q exams for 100 pts, no partial credit even though says there is. went into office hours for help and was 0 helpA. DO NOT TAKE.

5 pop quizes, 2 exams, 1 final open notes and open computer. Lectures don't help learn. HW optional but doesn't help. Attendance not mandatory but you can possibly miss a quiz. Everyone works around the system to pass class. Exams are 10 questions.

tells you that the exams are based on the optional hw but it is not. his exam and quiz questions are confusing and his lectures dont help you prepare for them either (you wont learn form them). its opened laptop/notes which a lot of students cheating (only way to pass it seems). exams are 100pt, 10 Qs, problem base,& basically no partial cred

He is outright bad. Like other's said, going to class is a waste of time. His test questions are confusing and not at all similar to the optional homework problems. He also does not know how to lecture. You'll be essentially learning on your own.

Class is such a waste of time. He's terrible at teaching the material. you must get the book to understand anything. His open book exams are way more difficult than the "homework" problems.

If you are looking for an easy A, you can take this professor. He provides open notes everything on every midterm, meaning you can even google answers on your laptop(use chegg). If finance is your major, I highly do not recommend him since you will not learn anything. Useless lectures, 3 midterms and a final, some pop-quizzes, optional hw.

Get ready to fail if you don't attend to class. Also the test for example, if there's 10 problems and you get 8 right you get 80percent and so on... yea it is open book and open notes but test are hard based on that option he has. Pop quiz master, if you are not present in class there's no make-up quizzes.

the man is a legend in Finance world so SJSU is lucky to have him. Midterms are easy: open book, open note but the final is murder because it combines everything you learned in a complex way that requires you to unravel the questions correctly. Most students can't break the questions down to simpler forms thus most people will fail the final exam.

Somewhat boring and spends of of class going over homework that is not collected for credit. Has pop quizzes nearly every week so attendance is mandatory. Tests and quizzes are open notes/laptop/textbook so its fairly easy to get an A. Overall, the class is dull but an easy A.

2 tests, 1 final, 5 pop quizzes. All open notes. He doesn't collect homework at all, no need to attend class except to be there for the easy 2 question pop quizzes. Midterms are easy, final is super hard.

IMO,you teach yourself in this class. All he does is go over the problems in the book, that's it. All exams are open notes/book. They are easy enough, i got 90's on the first two without studying much, but wow, the final was brutal. Study hard for that one. Hes cool though I marked the wrong answer on a exam and he gave me credit for it.

Heed my advice if you take him. You need not go to most classes for the first two exams, its pretty easy, but on the final, go to the classes for the material. I got two 90's on the first two midterms, but got a 50 on the final. :( The final is tough. Open notes/books though. Material is self taught, he just repeats what the books says.

Buy the book. Solutions are provided. Lecture is a brief intro to the chapter. He will help with the calculator. Lectures are useless. He speaks quickly and does not repeat main points. Material is not cohesively tied together. Nice, but appears to not really like students.

You need to buy the textbook, read it, and do the homework problems. 5 easy pop quizzes. 2 easy multiple choice exams. 1 comprehensive final ( harder than the other two exams). Tests and quizzes are open laptop, notes, and book, but you can't phone a friend. The key to this class is practicing the homework problems. Take this class, no projects.

Overall, he's a good professor. He's got a very dry sarcastic sense of humor. He has the homework answers online and goes over them every time. If you have questions don't hesitate to ask. Quizes are easy. Exams can be tricky, but if you pay attention to wording, its easy. I didn;t show up to a handful of classes and got an A-
