Comment:

MLK knows her stuff and is true champion of student rights. She cares about those who care about the material. You cannot find a better to teach clearly about the material in a direct fashion. She does not spoonfeed, but is a real master of her art. Vive La King.

Makes the class way harder than it should be. Gives you too much work but I guess that's what happens when you become old and cranky over the years. They don't really want to teach anymore. Take class at your own risk and she's not very helpful.

I had her in 1982. Her final was so hard even though she said that the notes would be on the test none of her notes were. She tested strictly from textbook. Ruined my average. I even went to talk to her about it and she said we were told it would be strictly textbook. Why bother going to class then?

I've taken several of her courses in the past and am taking another course with her in the spring. She's simply an amazing professor and an even more remarkable person. She's one of those professors that I know I will remember for a long time after I graduate. Best Prof. I've had yet.

She is the best:) 3 quizes what based on textbook but you can also prepare with wikipedia. Textbook isnt so important. Take home final,but if got A from quizes then u arent taking final exam which is good) So take her, highly recommended!

A nice professor that unlike some professors that want to mess up your grade. She is willing to help and be sure be there on time before every quizzes. Easy Easy Easy A if u just put a little bit more effort on her stuffs.Just Come to class and u barely need to read the textbook except for PPTs quizzes.

She's obviously a very learned woman, but I felt as if this class may have been a little too easy. 30% of the grade is based on quizzes where there is a wordbank and there was only one essay, which she graded very generously. The lectures were interesting, but never felt fully indepth. Class is an easy A if that's all youre looking for though.

King is a college level professor. She knows what she is doing. after all she has been teaching for awhile. she is very professional and same is expected of her students. gives plaenty of oppertunities to prove yourself. very minimum study is required to do well in this class. she is amazing. take her to ensuredeserving grade!

I don't know what that person who rated Ms. King on 11/07 is talking about, but I found her to be very good at what she does as an historian. I learned alot just by her lectures and my reading her book. You don't have to take notes if the lesson plan is given to on Blackboard I'm going to miss her.

i dont like her method of teaching with a projector. a real teacher teaches you and writes notes on the board. i am confused and unclear about the readings as they are difficult to comprehend without proper teaching so i can take notes. shes sweet but im dissapointed.

I've taken Prof. King 2x (European Renaissance and European Womens to 18th century)if you keep on top of the readings you will be fine. We had a textbook in the Ren. class (that she wrote) but not in the other. She expects you to do your best in her class and will not accept anything less. Overall fantastic teacher, exoect to learn ALOT.

One of the best professors at BC. She knows the topics in-depth so the lectures are interesting. No textbook needed, but there are TONS of documents you need to read from her website. Take-home essays, 3 quizzes based on terms along with a short presentation makes up the grade. None of which are too difficult. Highly recommended.

Prof. King is very serious about attendance and lateness. She does not give exams besides final exam. Take home exam was a paper based on readings. We did have to read many articles about 12 pages long each. We had two papers 3-4 pages and a term project 5-6pages. Overall if you do the readings you will do fine in her class. There was no textbook.
