She makes you work for the grade and there are tons of reading assignments. You do have to participate but she really tries to get you to do your best. She's always there to help you and as long as you keep up with the reading, you should do fine. She's also an easy grader and will cut you a lot of slack.

Koop is hardcore. She will definitely make you work like a dog like the folks said above, and be prepared for NO mercy. No excuses with this lady. You work your hardest or you'll have terrible grades. Shoot, even when I worked went crazy to do well in her class above all others, she still handed me a B.

absolutely awesome! So, wise and so perfect! But make sure you are willing to work like a dog. it will all be worth at at the end though. You are going to learn French like never before. Definetly take her course if you are serious about truly learning.

Dr. Koop is one of the best teachers in the university. You learn a lot of interesting information in her classes, and have to work, but the amount of work and her grades are fair. She also bends over backwards to help her students.
