This class is HARD, no matter which professor you choose to take it with. This was my second time taking this course, my first time I received a D. If you have background knowledge with math and science this class "might" be a little easier for you. Roslaniec helped me tremendously in this course, BUT you must study and practice ALOT on your own!!

Doesnt really explain everything well, we never really study for an exam she just goes over new material that is not going to be on the exam, we never get study guides or anything, she lectures heavy and hard to understand she just does problems knowing you know where she got numbers from. Very difficult.

Dr. Roslaniec is by far the sweetest and kindest professor I have ever had. The class is difficult and you HAVE to read the chapters and do extra problems but that is the nature of the course. She is extremely helpful. Lectures can be confusing so read ahead. If you read, do extra problems on top of the hw, and study hard you will pass.

Chemistry can be a hard subject but she explains the material/problems well. I hardly used the textbook, mostly used lecture notes. She is available outside of class for additional help. Has online HW which can be time consuming sometimes. Take the time to study for quizzes & exams & you'll be fine. Few extra credit, grades the final on a curve.

Had her for chem lecture. Super sweet and explains things very well! Used the textbook but not the solutions book. Went to her add-on class, CHEM 133, worth the extra hour and she recommends, basically extra practice w/ worksheets and question hour. Is very accessible, caring, and really makes an effort to know her students and help them. Take her!

Dr. Rose is very caring. CHE 113 is pretty difficult and I really did not deserve the grade I got. She helps you out if she sees that you're trying. I recommend her because she's one of the few professors that try and get to know you. Labs were interesting! Just pay attention in lecture and go over them. ACS is cumulative from 112 and 113. Yikes!!

Professor Rose is an amazing person and cares about her students. However, I find that she goes about explaining some concepts in an unnecessarily complicated manner. My advice is to do ALL the chapter problems (which is upward of 100 qns per chapter due to all the parts per question) and to google or watch videos on concepts you don't understand.

I really struggled with this class. Chemistry is a tough subject, and I feel she understands it extremely well. Taking Chem 133 is a must... I wish that I would have listened to the advice and taken it myself, because it would have been beneficial. Overall, be ready for a lot of tests and quizzes, never by surprise though.

Roslaniec is a great chemistry teacher! Her tests were hard but as long as u study the notes they're easy. You will want to do every extra cred opportunity. She takes into account how hard you work and how you improve by the end of the semester for your final grade. Be sure not to slack off at the end of the semester because it get harder.

She is an awesome teacher and very willing to help. The class is very difficult but she lays it out to help you understand it. The labs were not that great and the video watching prior to the lab was awful. Be prepared to spend 1-2 hours just to prep for the lab. Don't miss class or skip the homework.

Trust me you don't want to take it with anyone else. Be prepared to step your synthesis, spectroscopy, and reaction game up to 11- this class rides those into the sunset and then some! Labs were amazing- we made APAP, EtOH, and and more! The class is DIFFICULT- and that ACS final wooooo- study early for that! Roslaniec is AWESOME!

Puts things that aren't discussed in lectures on the exams, randomly puts old topics we have already been tested on without letting us know we need to review..

Doctor Roslaniec is an incredible professor, she definitely knows her field. The class is TOUGH- get ready to read, do the homework, watch videos on the subjects, and play with the model kits. Lectures and exams are clear, it's very doable, but be prepared to work for it. There's a reason we all aren't chemists but she's your best bet at passing

She is very thorough and has a way of explaining things very clearly the first time. Im not going to say its an easy class by any means but she makes it as good as it can possibly be. She is also fair when it comes to grading and you always know where you stand. Also probably one of the most available and eager to help professors I had.

Professor Roslaniec is a very hard teacher. I felt like she would go over the easiest problems in class and then put the hardest problems on her quizzes and exams(cheat would have been nice). She expects you to learn SO much in a short time period. Not recommended if you work/have a family/taking other classes!!

I really liked this class. I think that Dr. Roslaniec is extremely fair. It's true, you have to put in a lot of effort outside of class to keep up. The class starts off easy but gets progressively more difficult so keep up and ask for help as soon as you need it - don't wait until the day before a test. You have to take this class seriously!

Although this is my 2nd time taking her class. I found it very easy for me the 2nd time. But, I worked SO HARD! I saved all of my old test, labs and old notes anything I could use as study material. If you do poorly the first time around stick to it Recieve your F, so that you can take it agian with her (SAME TEACHER!) that way you'll have ur guide

You have to study hard to keep up with the coursework and attendance is mandatory. If you want to pass her class, her class had better be the only one you have. if you work you'd mind as well just work no more than 16 hours a weeek. Although she is very knowledgeable on the subject, she is also very hard on students when it comes to being knowledge
