This is a perfect example of students who, upset about their grades, take it out on the professor. She is brilliant, her class, exceptional, and, everytime I needed help, she made time for me, usually on her own time. She even prepared a special ciriculum so I could take the course at honors level. I never learned so much from any other teacher.

Rude, condescending, biased, ignorant, self-centered, senile, man-hating, confused... The list is endless. The title "Doctor" belies this woman's stupidity. No true comprehension of subject matter, just a poor misunderstanding of generally accepted interpretations. Had to go to her supervisor to prove that I earned an "A" in the class. DO NOT TAKE!

If you want to take a class where you don't have to open your book, DO NOT take this class. Dr. Wainwright was definitely one of the best English teachers I have ever had. Yes she's tough if you don't do the work required, and she is most certainly NOT **** like I read someone else say. That is ridiculous. I got an A and so should you.

I read the rate my professor before i took her so i was kinda worried about everyone review....i had no choice and had to take her....i was surprised she wasn't as bad as everyone seems to make it out....she does kinda snap every now and then but overall very nice

I will never take another class with her and i would advise anyone thinking about it to stop and run!! she is an awful teacher and she is VERY rude and heartless. i would STRONGLY recommend taking a different professor. she grades extremely harsh and doesnt give you clear instuctions on how to fix it just very unhelpful

I truly enjoyed this class and would not hesitate to take another class from Dr. Wainwright. She took a personal interest in my education and major. There was a small handful of students in my class that acted like immature children and she will not tolerate this behavior - and nor should she. This is college.

be sure to keep copies of EVERYTHING!!! she comes to class unprepared, looses student assignments, then blames it on the students. she tells one class something, then thinks she said it to every class and gets mad at those she never talked to! everything is the fault of the students. be careful if you take her class.

I thought this teacher was not near as bad as everyone is making her out to be. She is very intelligent and comes off a bit superior-however she expects her students to act like adults and not come in late, be rude, or keep leaving her class during scheduled time to talk on the phone. She is a rabid feminist, She is not at all interested in teaching women in Literature. she teaches Feminism 101 and if you point out the difference she accuses you of personally attacking her. one of the first assignments involved critically reviewing feminist poetry. because i refused to “toe the company line” i was removed from the class
