She is very kind and caring, as well as responds to after class questions fairly quick. Be sure to attend class almost all the time. Tons of extra bonus assignments and extra credit opportunities. Professor does not use blackboard whatsoever! Exam grades take forever to reflect. She never RARELY replies to emails or checks them.

This class is fairly easy, just be sure to go to class and study for her tests. She doesn't try to trick you on the tests, she is very straight forward. There is one big group assignment that is a bit extra but it will be an easy A. She gives quizzes each friday but gives you the answers. she spends a lot of the class talking about unrelated stuff

If you want a class that is easy and you can skip all the time, this is NOT the class for you. Dr. LaPreze teaches her class in a very intellectually stimulating manner and attendance is a must. She is however one of the most caring professors in the entire school. She's also a hoot and a half. She is by far my favorite professor ever.

She's a nice lady, but doesn't offer study guides and isn't accessible outside of class. She spends the first 20 minutes of class talking about the news and covers things in a very broad sense. There are one-page papers every week that are easy, but tedious. Counts off 12 points for every absence beyond 3. Slow grader and doesn't use blackboard

She loves MSU and really shows it, but she talks about what's going on in the news for 20 mins of the 50 min class EVERY TIME. Then, she gets off topic every class and rambles about her life, while only getting through 3-6 slides average each class. We are multiple chapters behind. 12 random pop quizzes too... usually every Friday. But, really nice

Lapreze was a great professor & has a passion for MSU. Really cared about students, and class was easy. Group project that takes up a lot of time, but is probably easier during a regular semester (I took in summer). Gives good examples and knows her stuff. One of my favorite profs here & would definitely take her again if I had the chance to!

THE BEST PROFESSOR I HAVE EVER HAD. Dr. Lapreze is caring, relatable, experienced, understanding, and personable. Your grade is definitely contingent upon the effort you put in, but with a little bit of caring and will to succeed, she gives you the tools to make that happen. Best class I've ever taken.

Dr. LaPreze is an awesome professor! Her grading can be tough, but she does an excellent job at preparing you for test, quizzes, homework, and projects. She loves group presentations, so expect to do one or two of them. I would definitely take Dr. LaPreze again if given the chance.

She was an alright teacher. She used real life experiences which helped, but still pretty boring. Takes forever to grade things. The group project is a lot of work and there is a lot of writing involved in this class. There is a quiz almost every Friday which are tricky sometimes.

LaPreze is a great professor and she really knows how to convey her knowledge to a student. Her group project is extensive. I was a team leader and the process to build a team was unorthodox and the project took lots of time to build. Routine quizzes and 5 tests. Slides are the test. She is very funny and very human, a trait sometimes hard to find.

LaPreze is probably the best professor I have taken at Missouri State. She genuinely cares about her students and will do anything to help you. Her lectures are actually interesting to listen to and she keeps your focus very easily. I would take her again in a heartbeat.

Best teacher I've ever had. Gives great lectures and examples to help understand the criteria. Gives EASY quizzes to help get free points. Understands that students don't always test well so gives enough class points to still get a B even with terrible test grades. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Melody is a great person and very caring. I took two courses with her and truly enjoyed my time in them. The downside is that she is an extremely slow grader! Don't expect to know what your grade in the class is until the end of the semester. Also expect to write a lot and it will need to be quality work or you can expect a low grade.

Class consisted of a weekly 5 question exam, two 3 page papers that were simple article reviews, 4 unit exams and the only somewhat challenging part, the group project (about 10 weeks long). Study the powerpoints and you wont even need a book.

Dr. LaPreze's MGT 340 class is impossible to fail if you have a genuine care towards your business major. Her real-life applications make it easy to remember terminology. She's a very knowledgeable teacher who seems excited to teach the subject every time she steps through the door. Lots of projects involved with this class.

Very unclear about expectations. Syllabus is misleading and does not reflect what you do in class. Expects you to listen in class before test days on what chapters the test is on (not correct chapters next to tests on syllabus) --- very confusing

I absolutely love dr. Lapreze! She really focuses on groups in this class, and there's a huge group paper and a 18-22 minute group presentation. Her tests aren't too difficult either if you pay attention in class. It's a lot of review from MGT 340. I'm probably going to take her for MGT 487 next year!
