We are only really graded on our tests, with one paper, and each test covers A LOT of material. Many of her test questions have very similar answers that can trip you up if you aren't careful. She is a fairly ruthless test grader, if everyone in the class didn't get a question right she tells us to study better next time

Sounds scary at first, but not too difficult at all. My highest grade last semester was in her class. If you need an arts class and you aren't an arts major take this! I thought it was really interesting , and really liked the class.

I really enjoyed this class. I had taken fine art 201 before and I loved this class a lot more. Tests were very straight forward. Remember to study ahead of time. Don't wait till the last minute. DON'T BUY TEXTBOOK

Prof. Wampler is very knowledgable and well spoken. I almost felt she was overqualified to teach an intro level class since she gives us a lot of great information, yet the tests are mostly identifying images (less about understanding them.) Take her class if you have an interest in art history! Studying should earn you an easy A.

Meh Teacher, very boring class, dont buy textbook, gives a study guide before tests which has half the material that you went over, so reading the textbook is excessive sinse you wont end up needing half of it and its all gone over in class anyway

Wampler has a serious passion for what she's teaching! I went into the class not knowing anything about art or art history and she made it so easy to understand and enjoy. The only homework was to study for tests which she provided study guides for and two "looking assignments". Absolutely would take again!

She is an awesome professor, she talks about the power points to show the artworks. But she does it in an interesting way and help is always offered. She gives you a review guide before every test. No homework besides studying. Easy grader with the 2 short papers she assigned. DONT BUY THE TEXTBOOK !!

I really enjoyed Professor Wampler's class. She knows her stuff and makes the information easy to comprehend. She is really open to helping students understand material and her study guides are amazing! You can tell she really wants everyone to learn the material. I loved her!

I love Mrs. W! She talks pretty fast, so you have to have lightning fast hands to catch all she says. But before each exam she gives you a study guide so it limits what you need to study, and basically just memorize all you wrote down from class and you're good to go. 3 exams, no final! Great class!

Very nice as people described. 3 tests and 1 page paper is all we do. Lots of notes every class on the images shown. Goes sort of fast. Gives out very good study guides. All M/C. Takes 10 images from study guide 4-5 questions each and rest are terms. Easy enough if you can get your facts straight.

LOVE Prof Wampler. Really helpful, exams are based SOLELY on the study guides so you know exactly what to expect. I would def recommend her the only bad thing about her: she goes SUPER fast and it takes a strong hand to get all those notes down!

She is a very nice and sweet teacher. She cares about her students and always has class involvement. She tries to make the class interesting. So, if you want to take art history, i strongly recommend you to take her for it.
