A++++Best computer class ever taken. No textbook required, write your own based on lectures. Likeable drama queen but knows her stuff and is totally available to help. No tests and projects utilize commands covered in lectures. Stay on top of lecture notes and you're certain to do well with the projects and in the overall class.

I enjoyed the class and think for someone beginning CAD it is very helpful how Miriam goes over each command in detail and has you keep your own notes about the program instead of having to buy an expensive book. It's helpful if you've taken drafting (IDES 330).

Miriam rocks! She's super helpful and personable. Only problem was we had to buy an $80 book and read 3 chapters from it. She's still new to teaching this course but i hear she's getting better at staying on top of things. Take her!!

Comment:

Miriam is a first time instructor so the students had to learn her teaching style as she developed it. It made the class sort of difficult, but she knows what she is talking about. You were required to know about manual drafting, which you should before take a CADD class.

This 1st-time teacher has difficulty imparting knowledge. She calls students, "sweetie." No pre-req. is req'd but she wants you to know drafting, rendering,& space planning.
