The class was a lecture for hours (we don't leave early) and the homework was multiple choice with a scantron, average about 100 questions per assignment. I learned quite a bit, but I would have preferred answering some of the questions in the text book or working in groups. It was a lot of sitting quietly listening to powerpoint presentations.

Burroughs is a very helpful teacher. I took her GEOL lab class and received an A. Her lecture packets that she readily prints for you go hand in hand with the lab material. Her exams are EASY if you study the lab material she grades and goes over. The exams are repetitive bc most of the answers you will find in the next couple of questions over.

This class was very hard for me, even as weeks went on I still had problems, I shouldn't have take this class didn't need it as I found out later once I changed my major. If you misspell a word she takes off from that you could have gotten a higher grade if she wasn't so strick with her grading. I won't take it again, only if you have to.

She is nice and you will be given every opportunity to succeed, but prepare to be extremely frustrated. She gives way too much work, her tests will have questions on info never/barely covered, test and HW questions are poorly worded, doesn't listen, lots of trick questions,and plan to have the work piled on end of semester. Disorganized.

She basically prints out everything she lectures with. She's monotone. She gives to much work per section. When you ask for help she doesn't really help. I would only recomend this class if you have a real interest in earth science.

She gives WAYYYYY TOOO much work for a one unit lab. My goodness this class was crazy. She is very helpful and nice but shes kinda boring and speaks monotone throughout the class...She says ummm a million times too. Shes nice but dang its a LOT of work for 1 unit.

Very dedicated and helpful. Works hard and is always offering to help. Interesting material. Gives lots of extra credit to help with the grade. Tests are easy and fair.

She is ALWAYS very helpful, and gives lots of extra credit. This is good, because sometimes the assignments are a little bit confusing. If you ask for help in this class, you will do very well. Make sure you avail yourself of her willingness to explain things, and you will have a good time and get a good grade in this class.

This was my favorite class of all time. I learned more here than from all other classes combined. Fair bit of homework, but not difficult, and she offers tons of extra credit to help smooth over those rougher marks. This is a must-have, and a great class for fulfilling the science/lab requirement.

Her classes aren't necessarily an easy "A", but it is possible to get an "A" if you aren't afraid to ask her for help. She's very fair and very approachable. I highly recommend her geology courses.
