I've taken every single course that she teaches. She takes into consideration what is going on in her student's life. If you show up and participate in her class there is no way you can fail, even if you don't do well on her exams. I wish she taught more courses. Though I had to pick one class this info goes for all of her classes,

Comment:

O'Donnell's lectures are insightful and she is very intelligent, funny and caring. There's a textbook but you only truly need the lectures to understand what is going on. The study guides she gives before tests are helpful. She gave two take home tests including the final this semester. She also gives tons of extra credit and is a very easy grader.

Comment:

She is so interested in what she does yet she is up front and will give it to you how it is. Her students tend to really enjoy her and she gets the students as well. Her class is not super easy but if you put in some work you will have no problem. make sure you use the study guide she gives you or you will fail the tests.

I took this class as one of the courses for a political science degree and found myself really enjoying a class despite my preference for courses on foreign affairs. She just asks that you try a little and put in some work outside of the classroom.

Some of the reading material is rather tough because it goes back to the start of feminist movements. Dr. O'Donnell is very interesting to listen to and class can often lead to interesting discussions. I also asked her for help on the final paper and she edited my paper right when I walked in so she is willing to help if you ask.

She is my favorite teacher on campus. She loves political science and is willing to help you to love it. Very funny, good class structure. Her notes are a little be difficult to follow but if you read and study you'll get it. Good class for Gen course.

Seriously the best teacher/professor I've ever had in my life; very wise, knowledgeable, funny and kind-hearted. I'd have to try pretty hard to say something bad about her; she's very memorable and I mean it in the best way possible. Sign up for a class with her!

Super nice! Nicest professor I have ever had. Very helpful. Super easy and is very understanding. You don't really have to use the textbook, but she'll assign things from it, but it doesn't help. Just pay attention and you'll do fine!

I actually look forward to going to this class! She is a great professor. You can have your own views and interest and that is perfectly fine she isn't going to try to get you to change them. You will actually learn a lot about how to become more informed with current politics and the stuff you talk about will pertain to things that effect you.
