Took this class online. It was a lot of writing, but basically pretty clear and easy. She gives clear explanations in her lectures. They are long, but interesting. YOU DEFINITELY DO NOT NEED A TEXTBOOK!! I got a grade higher than I deserved. Great Professor!! Highly Reccomended :-)

Although I am taking this class online right now through the summer 1 semester and I never meet this professor, she seems very nice and down to earth. What she asks of her students is straight forward and she expects everyone to put forth much effort to succeed, as long as you listen to her rules, you will do well.

This is the best psy prof I've taken at BMCC. Prof Parson is AWESOME!!! She is so sweet and is very helpful. Her online site makes everything easy and very understanding. Text not required :) ALL LECTURES ONLINE :)

Prof. Parsons is one of the best professors I have taken...she's very funny, nice, and helpful.Her lectures were interesting and exams were all take-home and very easy.She gives the class rewards (such as smiley faces)for each class if there is good behavior and if all cell phones are OFF!This leads to take-home exams.VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Professor Parsons is the BEST professor i've had in all of my 2 years at Borough of Manhattan Community College. her lectures are funny and are printable, so the book isnt required for class. She has a wonderfulk sense of humor and has a cool personality. At times you forget she is your professor.

A LOT of writing for the online course (2 essays/week). She's very nice, but opinionated & sentimental. Clearly has an ax to grind. Coverage of subject is limited. Exams are poorly worded. Lecture notes are not well-written. Talks much about TV and watches Oprah. She's an M.D., not an academic.

I took her online class and it was great! Prof Parsons gives weekly forums for discussion and they really make you think. It's a neat method to learn child psych because besides her lectures, you apply it to your own life. You don't need the book but you do need to stay on top of the forums. Take her! Much love to Prof P!
