Dr. Doran is my favorite professor I have ever had. He worked with me everyday and helped me with anything I needed. He is much more than just a professor. He is a great person as well as a great teacher. If you are willing to work, he will reward you for your efforts and you will succeed.

Dr. Doran is a great professor. Very nice and helpful guy. Class in general is tough especially the tests. Do the homework. He doesn't grade homework but you won't pass without doing it.

By far the best professor at TCU. Always super positive and a joy to have as a teacher. Gives detailed solutions to problems which is extremely helpful so that you know it step by step. I would take any class he taught!

One of the nicest gentlemen in the world. Incredibly intelligent when it comes to mathematics. Has his "thought of the day" which he writes on the board. He moves quickly and covers a lot of material, but is always willing to help and elaborate.

I am the absolute worst when it comes to math and probably would have failed if I hadn't taken calculus with Doran. He is one of the nicest people I have ever met and is always willing to help. The homework can be tough but his example sheets help a ton, and he passes out solutions the next day. Definitely take him for calculus!

Best teacher you will ever find in your college life! Dr. Doran is very kind and patient with students and he really puts his heart and soul into what he does. Crystal clear lectures and reasonable homework load. Don't forget about the "thoughts of the day"! They are a great deal of philosophical truths! I highly recommend him!

Dr. Doran is incredible. Was a green beret in the military but is the sweetest old man in the world. Always has a "thought of the day" for the class that is always uplifting. Office hours are really flexible. Really helps you for tests if you ask for help. Overall an incredible teacher and would recommend anyone to take him.

The way he taught the class is by far the best I've ever seen. He possesses infinite wisdom in mathematics, and he was inspired me in so many ways; from his daily thoughts to his committment to his career, I've learned more than just math, I've learned priceless life lessons that will prove valuable as my life progresses.

Loved him. He is the most helpful and caring guy in the world and is passionate about his subject. Whether you like calculus or not, you will learn it in this class. There is a good amount of hw but it is worth it because Doran is the man. One of the best teachers I've ever had.

Dr. Doran is a great guy! He'll help you with what ever you need! He is very clear about the problems he gives you and goes through everything step by step. I took pre-cal my junior year and statistics my senior year so I was worried about calculus as a freshman, but Dr. D explains everything so thoroughly that it's easy to get an A in his class

Dr. D is an amazing prof! There really isn't another like him on campus. He will spend all him time making sure you understand the material. His door is always open. If you're lucky enough to get a seat, I would def tell anyone to take any of his classes. He is brilliant, kind, helpful, and insightful. His top priority is his students.

Oh my gosh,awesome teacher!U will not regret taking him, hes so patient with all his students, and amazingly I passed the 5 week course.It was not easy,hes just really great in explaining thing so youll understand.Hes really smart and knows his history on math really well; he really inspires you with his stories and makes class worth going to.
