Prof Kemp was very helpful with her HONEST critiques. She doesn't teach to make friends but she shouldn't have to. I really enjoyed her class. I felt held back though by her teaching style only b/c she times the drawing time. I wanted to draw more. But she pushed my skills where I didn't know they could go. I would take her again definately.

shes ok, technical teacher, she seems like a frustrated artist.. let her comments go in one ear and out the other and you will be fine. she will drop you if you have 4 absences. you have to listen to her music only no ipods.

Well u better @ least hav SOME skill coming into this class I hate to say it but if ur a noob it shows & she will dogg you the whole semester on form and such. For those ofus who hav had art for a few yrs we already know what an art prof wants & get by pretty easy. Mostly just keep quiet, listen, and follow directions. &learn to critique others

DO NOT take if you are taking drawing because it's required. ONLY take her if you are interested in moving onto advanced drawing. She takes drawing extremely seriously, and expects everyone in her class to do the same. She is moody, rude, and often contradictary in her expectations. Cannot get a straight answer about what tests will cover either.

She does not offer any critique at all, demands that students conduct critiques. You will have no idea where you stand on your project until you get your grade. Class necessary for graduation/transfer hope someone else is teaching the class. Don't be late, but it's all right for her to be, continually.

I have taken Witta-Kemph twice and I think she is an excellent professor. Too many students think her criticism is personal- it's not- it's just a HUGE part of the art making process. Art isn't easy and mindless. If you would like to learn something and grow then take her. She has a lot to teach and is always willing to answer questions.

In my opinion, professor Witta-Kemp is very enlightening, intelligent and friendly and I enjoyed her Drawing I class. Anyone I've known to have an 'issue' with her usually just can't handle criticism. But drawing is not just about pencil to paper, it's philosophical. Go to class with an open mind and you'll actually learn something with her.

Design is not simply a mixture of aesthetics and engineering- it requires truly caring about the people you design FOR. Witta-Kemp has absolutely no ability to relate to her students and as a result, is confusing, often contradictary in her expectations and statements and becomes quite acerbic when anyone begs for clarity. Avoid at all costs.

She just sucks!! Dropped the class..will have you stressing big time! Not worth it. Has high expectations. I thought this class was art/drawing (u know everyone draws diff.)and I thought u learn to draw better-nope not for her class..its her way only!!!! Make sure u are great at drawing b4 taking this class-just don't take it.

I really did not enjoy this class, and art is my major, but you will learn. She made it clear from the start that an "A" will rarely happen. Usually pleasant, has some bad days, does like to hear herself talk.

mean. She picks her favorits. I was required to take this class to earn a bachelors degree. I am pre-dental and it is sad to say that this class was my moststressful ever!If she does not like you, she will not help you, she will turn her back on you when you are asking for help. I made an A, but it was difficult to meet her expectations.

She will push you and make you a better artist. Dont take her if you are a high school happy time tree hugger who believes that crystals are a source of energy. She is a serious instructor and will expect you to be a serious student. If you hated her maybe consider getting a degree from career point.

She was the worst teacher I have ever had. She was very belittling to all of her students and she doesn't care about her students in the least way. She loves to hear herself talk and there is little drawing time. Lots of outside work.
