Hands down one of the most engaging, passionate, and hilarious profs I've ever had. Participation is highly encouraged, as in class discussions on readings are fairly frequent. I highly recommend Professor M to any anthropology student. She also made all of our readings accessible online instead of making us buy them, which was appreciated.

Marked on a midterm, final, 1 paper proposal and 2 papers - all of which were very simple. No classroom participation was expected, and slides were posted online make it very easy to simply study at home and still get great marks. That being said Sabina is a very nice professor, and her lectures are rather interesting. Overall super easy course.

The lecture was very boring. She did not properly prepare us for her tests. Most people did not do well on them. She said we would do fine by just reading all the slides, despite the fact that we were also tested on other material. She did not give good feedback, for the papers we had to write. I honestly wish I did not take this class!

This professor gives a weekly quiz on moodle but states its not for a grade but at the end of the semester if you did not participate in those quizzes it will bring down your grade. She gives few exams so make sure to do well on them or you won't have much of an opportunity to bring up your grade. The topics were quite strange; not my cup of tea.

she was a great teacher for anthro. she knew everything. some may say she's rude and there were so many times i would sleep in her class or lay my head down, and hear it go silent and immediately lifted my head because i thought she was going to yell at me. she never did, but overall she's there if you need her, just be a good student.

Dr. Magliocco is a great professor. If you're an Anthropology major I do recommend her. She gives you a clear understand of what religion is and a lot of back ground information about anthropology. If you're also interested in learning about religion on a broader level you should take her class. She an Easy grader and her exams are straigh forward

She treats people as if their children. Still thinks this is high school & talks to people as she pleases. Very rude & moody. If you get on her bad side (for no apparent reason) she will pick at you. Absolutely ridiculous teacher. Needs to sort out her priorities.

Her class is just so dry. She is pretty nice but it's like going back to High School. You HAVE to read. She has an individual or group activity almost every class, you put them in a portfolio at the end of the semester and write a letter to her saying how "amazing" her class was. Unless this is your major you will not benefit from this class.

Professor Magliocco is very knowledgable. She knows what she's talking about and has responses for every question you ask. The lectures tend to get repetitive and boring. Weekly quizzes and the tests are not cumulative. Don't take this class if you're not interested in learning about religion.

Brought up by a Freudian, Obsessed with Bourdeu and Butler. The bad reviews sum up her teaching style. If you disagree with her, she will take it out on you. Needs to learn how to observe.

This professor is one of the best I've had at CSUN. She's always willing to talk to students outside of class and hear their ideas as well as give thoughtful feedback. As long as you attend class, get involved in discussions, and show that you're interested you'll do fine.
