Dr. Hill asks a lot of his students, but he gives a lot too. His lectures are interesting and have a clear sense of direction. Grading is strict but fair. Also, two words: liquid nitrogen.

He's pretty funny, very helpful, and overall a very good teacher. The class material is pretty hard, but he grades fairly. If Physics is your thing, you'll love him and the class!

He is very excited about physics and very eager to explain things if you have a question - the material is not easy, I mean, it's electromagnetism, but he makes it palatable. He makes you derive equations on the test, and doesn't want you to memorize, so if you're good at math and love physics definitely take it.

Great professor. Very clear and thorough. He focused more that most on the mathematical proofs behind some physical concepts, which i found helpful. Fair tests.

Hill asks a lot of you, through tough homework and tougher exams. He gives quizzes nearly every day, so you don't want to miss class. But he also makes sure you leave his course with a very thorough understanding of E&M. Take him if you actually intend on learning the material, not memorizing it.

One of the best teachers I've had at UF; lectures were helpful, as were office hours.

Thermal physics can get somewhat confusing with kinetic theory but in general it's an easier upper level physics class. Dr Hill does an awesome job of explaining things, and is very helpful outside of class. I really wish he would teach my electromagnetism course instead of Stanton so I would get a better grip. Had him for intro physics too. GREAT!
