Wonderful person and pleasure to be with. However, he needs to improve his teaching methods. He assigned students to 2 papers each through the semester and had us learn from that instead of his knowledge through experience of the topic. If you do the work, he is likely to give you a good grade for it, but the final exam is extremely hard.

While he is knowledgeable and friendly, he is not a successful teacher. Class assignments are not collected until the end of the term, so feedback on understanding of the material is non-existent. There is widespread class confusion on our learning objectives, as well as our assignment topics. He spends far too much time on unrelated conversation.

A very friendly guy. A living testimony to Midwestern warmth, being he is from Kansas originally. Potentially me and him might be close buddies, who knows? Very challenging, forcing you to think outside your box. It's not hard per say, but it's challenging, and well-worth it.

Don't do it! Lots of random handouts, we were given a weekly question which had to be turned in at the end of the semester, he came up with them off the top of his head and never wrote them down. Final exam looks like it was made up the night before.

All he ever does is talk about his life, then tells you to read a ridiculous amount of pages within a short amount of time. The class is also very boring and never has a conclusion. I would not recommend taking this class or this professor.

Very boring professor. He never really talked about what we needed to know. He just liked to talk more about himself. Lot of group work that barely helps with the final and wouldn't help if you fail. I regret ever taking this class!!!

If you do not do wonderful on the final you will fail even if all your other work is up to par. You must memorize, literally memorize everything he says to pass the final. Very difficult prof; I wouldn't recommend to future students. His lectures are not helpful for you to learn the class material. Cannot believe how this class was run.

His lectures are VERY BORING! I found it very hard to stay awake in his class...with a full nights sleep! The exam is freaking ridiculous because its a essay. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would say this class is a 1.5!

Loved the class!!! Just read like he says or pay attention and do your homework like the syllabus says, and you are garanteed an A. It's easy, He wants you to learn how to listen and to reach your own conclusions. Felt lost at the beginning but he is GREAT!! The group log and individual log do it weekly so you don't do it at the end. :D

Christian Philosophy teacher. Does not compute. His class is lecture based, mostly run by talks about himself and his wife and kids (but not funny stories, just stories). Occasional powerpoint. Group work counts, so if your group doesn't want to show you're screwed. He's honestly a terrible and boring professor that's way past his prime.

LOTS of busy work, that only counts for a little percentage at the end of the semester. The final is 30% of your grade. I didn't read much of the book at all if any, and still got an A. You can bs your way through the final and as long as you do your homework, you should be okay.

I hated that class.he only talks about his freakin life. What does that have to do with Ethics? And on the last day you have to turn in 13 pages of journal entries, 4 page summary, 10 pages of a essay that you will have no clue on and he doesn't even show up to collect and review for the final exam.and the funny thing is that's the only important day

I HATED this class and dropped it. One thing that I really didn't like about it was that the bulk of the work that he gives you a grade on is not due until the end of the semester so have no idea how you are doing. He is full of himself and all his degrees and he loves his wife, he makes sure you know that. "I'm crazy about her." WE KNOW! GEEZ!

Great teacher, all you have to do is go to class and get involved a tiny bit! If you get less than a B I would be surprised.

Pretty basic class. If you read the gobs of BS he wants you to each night, it should be an easy A. I personally didn't read a single thing and I got a B. No homework, optional final and interesting class discussions make the class cake. Only thing that sucks though is that at the end of the semester, a 4 page and an 8 page paper is due.

Philosophy uses the book heavily. But I did not buy one and passed with an A. Lots of reading and comprehension on your part. You choose individually to have final or not. 3 in-class essays (not hard), weekly group journal entries, 1 eight page paper (you choose topic), 1 3-4 page summary of the class. Definitely knowledgeable and educated in field
