Comment:

The best teacher I've ever had. She gives great feedback, interacts in discussions, grades very quickly, and really cares about her students. It is a lot of work, but she is very clear about due dates and what she expects from her students. The material is super interesting and I actually have fun doing a lot of the assignments. Take this class!

Really enjoyed her class. A lot of essays and homework, but she is a very fair grader. Gives great feedback, so its very easy to improve. If you put in the effort, youll get an A.

Comment:

Ms. Marsala took a difficult course and made it fairly easy. She is always very clear in her instructions, which is vital for an online class. As long as you follow the assignments' guidelines and directions to the letter, you will get a very good grade in this class. She also gives writing information that is helpful for other classes.

Prof Marsala is seriously the best! She cares about her students so much and is always there to quickly answer questions and help with assignments. It was so easy to follow her instructions and know what she wanted. Weekly discussion posts on very interesting topics kept me engaged throughout the semester. Id definitely recommend taking this course

With typical English classes u would have to sit in class and listen to lectures that weren't beneficial, but with this online class it's so efficient. Coursework was moderate and straightforward. I've taken a few online classes and they were terrible so I didn't have high hopes for this one. However, Marsala, while having a bunch of assignments, is a very attentive teacher that makes an online class so much easier to navigate. And while there are assignments every week they're not bad and can be fun to do.

If you truly want to learn English concepts and have it be relatable to life, take this professor! She bends over backwards to help her students. Most material is downloads you print and there is a WEALTH of information in them! Literature is fresh and not just some boring textbook. She inspired me to pursue higher track in English Literature.

Professor Marsala was a wonderful English professor. I took her online class this past Spring and it was difficult but not impossible. I enjoyed her class and the assignments. You must participate to receive an A!

This is my favorite teacher . . . ever! She encouraging and allowed her students creative freedom when appropriate. My major is animal science, but I have highly considered a minor or changing it to writing because of this class. She doesn't get hung up on the small stuff, but she will give you feedback!

I personally loved this class and would highly recommend Susan. I learned a lot and didn't mind doing most of the papers. You should expect 3 forum posts each week and maybe one longer paper every month and a half. She tries to not make it like an English boot camp. One thing is don't email her asking for your grade on something.

Professor Marsala is soo sweet and caring. She's one of those professors that really invests her heart and time into her teaching. The class was very easy -- especially for 4 transferable units! I definitely recommend taking her class if you have the opportunity! Very helpful and nice woman! :)

Professor Marsala is incredible! I participated in her English 201 C class online and had a great experience. She is flexible and genuinely understands each situation. Her assignments and discussion topics and enjoyable to take part in. She offers extra credit and make up assignments. I received an A in her class and would do it all over again.

Wow, Susan is an amazing teacher. Her clarity and helpfulness go above and beyond what her job requires. Although this class was online, it was immensely interesting and enlightening. I would definitely recommend Susan for any English class you t take. She makes thinking critically easy for anybody and textbooks are cheap used online.

Professor Marsala is by far the BEST English teacher! She is so understanding of her students and realistic about the workloads she assigns. Questions are always answered quickly and feedback regarding assignments is beneficial for learning. Her expectations are clear and she goes out of her way to be there for the students! Wonderful Lady!!

Professor Marsala is by far the most snide and cantankerous "teacher" I have ever had. Her online class is a joke, and when you get 4 assignments behind (easy to complete mind you) she drops you from her class so she doesn't look like the terrible teacher she is. She is rude, uncaring, and selfish. WORST "TEACHER" EVER

She is one of the only people who can teach English online. Professor Marsala will help you through any assignment all the way till the end and has very clear expectations. I have recommended her courses to all of my friends who are going into English. Excellent instructor!
