She is such an amazing professor! I was so impressive the way she gives me feedback, it is really helpful and I had an English problem because I am international student, but she explains in easy way and encourages me! I REALLY REALLY recommend her class!!!

Dr. Luff just recently took over the Honors program, and got the Honors students out of taking UNI 100 during their freshman year. The Honors class consists of reading the UNI 100 book for the semester, as well as another book based on the habits of Honors students. Read the books, write a 1 page response to each chapter, and you'll get a 100.

Great at explaining things, and has a great sense of humor. Plenty of extra credit was offered just by filling out surveys for upper level Sociology students. No homework, just studying for exams (which are pretty easy). She makes me wish she was my mom, which is weird because I have a crush on her...

She is not a bad teacher. She is very entertaining, and makes you feel good about things. She sometimes leaves out information for the test so best thing to do is just study powerpoints dont take notes.

If i have to take her for another class i will. She is fun and knows her stuff, open dialogue in her class happens often. After a test ( which aren't that hard) you watch a video. She grades fair and the paper at the end of the year can really help your grade.

Very easy, very helpful, very clear. You should get an A in this class. She has character and keeps her lecture interesting and offers almost too much extra credit. Her outlines are the test.

the most helpful teacher I've ever had. no matter how busy she is (and she's always busy) she will take the time to listen to whatever you have to say. she goes out of her way to help people succeed.

Her test are very straight to the point. Her exam isn't accumulative. Didn't have to write any papers and class was cancelled quite a bit. She's extremely nice and a good teacher.

Dr. Luff is amazing! I have had her for many classes and I have loved all of them!! She is soo helpful and if you don't understand something go see her and she will break it down for you. She's willing to help any student who is struggling. I Def recommend her for any SOC class you are thinking about taking!!

Dr. Luff is very laidback and easy to get along with. Her lectures are casual so you don't feel like it's a class sometimes. If you know the study guide, you know the test. Sometimes stuff from the text shows up but it's not enough to hurt your grade. Puts things in language you can understand. Definitely recommend. :)

Dr. Luff (winner of 05-06 CU prof of the year) is a really cool lady who can get Sociology into your head. She's really down to earth as well - you can usually see her outside smoking with students before class starts. Every once in a while she would begin class and say, "I don't really want to have class today. Is it okay if we cancel?"

Her class is the easiest class I've ever had in college. I took it over the summer, and the tests were so easy I made an A and skipped the entire last week of class, and skipped the last test. She's pretty cool.

Easily the most boring class I've ever had to sit through. If your into sociology you will probably like her class but otherwise pass it up unless you need extra sleep time.

This is a great class to take as a freshman. It's easy if you do what you're supposed to and she's very very helpful. She understands if you have a problem and she's willing to work you through it. Very likeable and funny and easy to pay attention to.
