This professor was truly one of the best i had while i was at saddleback. Walt truly cared about student' understanding of the material. So passionate about what he was teaching. Very nice guy. I wish he taught more business classes there. If you're reading this Walt, you're the best!!

I took this professor in 1996. One of favorite professors and I did about 130 units in college. I lost my Accounting book, no worries I found the same Accounting book in a local library, bought it for $.50!!! Thanks Walt for your great Accounting classes!!!

Comment:

His teaching method gave me the confidence to take the course. His class quizzes are very helpful to consolidate what you learned each session. The bad thing is if you are in a hospital and miss the class he doesn't prorate the grades. I have taken this course with another professor in summer but sue to my injury I ended in hospital and withdrew.

Great Professor. Great class. My only complaint is that he doesn't teach 1B. I feel like I understand the material and didn't have to stress about getting a bad grade. Doing the HW, showing to every class, and a couple hours to study for ea test => Easy A

Comment:

Very clear with guidance, rules, attendance policy, points and exams. Very low stress level, which was good for me, helps digest material easier and not stressing over every little detail. If something is not clear professor will help after the class. He never responded to my emails but he answered all my questions in class and after class.

For a 5 hour class he is very good at keeping your attention. Light classwork that resembles the homework. The way he explains the work makes it easy to understand. Tests are (usually) online. And he typically lets you out of class early.

This professor was great. If you had the notes and did the practical examples in class, the homework and tests were easy. He always did an example as a group so everyone was able to see how it was done properly, then he had the class try a similar problem by themselves. Overall, he made the class informative and easy, if you showed up to class.

Easy class with a great professor! All the homework and tests were conducted online with the final being take home. Walter Deaguero made the material very simple to understand and was not afraid to clarify further! Do the homework online, and succeed- as simple as that. Only negative is that he does not teach Accounting 1B... :(

Overall this class should not be hard. If you show up, pay some attention to what is being said, and do the in class assignment right you'll do fine. Best of all, tests are online and based off what you do in class. It is definitely not impossible to receive an A in this class. Do your work and you'll be fine.

vey nice guy and very funny but not a good teacher in my opinion. The class started of with fun stories and easy topics then all of a sudden it got so confusing I didn't even know what was going on. he doesn't take his time to teach everything and expects you to read the 500 or so page book and learn everything on your own.

Professor does a great job of explaining everything in detail where it is understandable. Pros: Great explanations, reasonable due dates for homework.Cons: Class needs a little more breaks for long sessions and a little more fluid dynamic to keep you on your toes. Just attend the class and do your homework and you will be fine.

Going into this class I was intimidated because I'm not the best with math skills. After taking this class with Prof. Deaguero I fell in love with accounting and am considering changing my major from marketing to accounting. Prof. Deaguero's class is relatively easy all homework & tests are online & he is very good at explaining things.

I have taken a accounting class previously and compared to my last professor this class was broken down a lot more barney style for someone who isn't an accounting wizard. He goes through each chapter step by step. Always does an example assignment before H/W. Very well put together and organized accounting class and knowledgeable professor.
