Comment:

Great professor who makes the class easy. His lectures are a little above average, but he's off topic at times. However, he still finishes his lectures just fine, so I didn't mind. Homework is given after each section. Exams are easy if you do the study guide as they're the same questions with different #s. He also lets you use formula sheets.

Comment:

Professor Griffith knows his stuff!! Gives a decent amount of homework and because the homework can be challenging sometimes, he does allow you to turn it in late in most cases. Overall very caring and funny!

Griffith is so cool. He always comes into class with atleast 45 pieces of jewelry and a can of soda. His lectures are fun because he goes on side binges about his parents and his cat. He has 3 tests and gives you a review of each test before which is the same as the test, just different numbers. Study the review sheets and you'll pass.

Very funny guy! Has the greatest stories to tell. Not only will you learn math but also his crazy adventure. Lets you turn hw late and study guides are really helpful when you study for the test. He wants everyone to pass

This is probably the funniest and most genuine professor I've ever had, definitely my favorite math professor. Lets you turn hw in late if you show you are actually putting effort into the class. Really cares about his students, will spend the whole class helping with homework if necessary. He gets off topic in lectures a lot but its always funny

Super caring, and wants all his students to do well. He does get distracted , but he tries his best to help you. Homework is assigned every time he finishes a section. He is very approachable and does what he can to help you pass.

Genuinely a nice professor who cares about his students. He always try to get a new room to accommodate students on the wait list. While his lecture notes do stray away at times (will be messy) & he does go off topic during class about his cat Barneby or his parents, he is a great teacher for 114-116. He also does not have online hw which saves $$

GRIFF DOG! Took him for MAT116, and he was a solid choice. He is very accessible with lots of office hours and will help you with any question you have. Allows any calculator on exams which I appreciate. Homework could tend to be a bit heavy. Did get off topic occasionally about his cats Percy and Marvin, but it was nice to have little math breaks.

Griffith is funny and caring. He wants his students to pass and gives them the opportunity to get extra credit if they don't do well in the exam. He can be very entertaining and tells funny stories, but he does get off topic to tell these stories. His lectures are not organized, but he does provide you with all the tools to pass the class.

DONT TAKE HIM IF YOU NEED A SOLID STRUCTURE OF 214. He sucks at teaching. The homework he assigns aren't remotely covered in class and he never teaches examples. He directly takes notes out of the book and is never prepared. A lot of people like him since he is the easiest. He truly doesn't teach well. Avoid him if your major needs 214 badly.

Comment:

This teacher is very willing to explore your interests in "side tracks" to the main topic and he is very responsive to e-mail inquiries. He could be a little more aggressive in pushing the agenda and was a bit laborious in reviewing pre-requisite knowledge before getting into the meat of the subject. I would recommend him to others.
