I have taken this professor twice. His assignments are not that difficult if you just do the reading. We had discussions every week and a paper or two due at the end of the semester. Just follow his instruction and you'll get an A. Downside: he doesn't really elaborate as to why points are deducted from assignments.

Great Professor! He has had much life experience in many different fields. His classes are heavy on text book readings but his lectures will leave you with a lot to think about. Would take him in any class offered.

This guy is a genius, he's the reason you go to college so you can sit in a room and hope that whatever it is that makes him so darn smart might just rub off on you a little bit.

A.J. is a professor who expects substantial effort from the students. That is not a bad thing. As I look back (I have graduated) he is one of the most influential professors I've had at RMU. He and professors like him will bring prestige back to the RMU degree.

Comment:
This class was hard. I would not advise taking this class if there are other options, because there are many textbooks/readings that are useless. Most of the people in the class, myself included, did not have enough background information to take the class. I felt we all fibbed our way through it. Too hard.

Great teacher. Between Dr. O'Banion and Dr. Grant, I've learned more about philosophy and rhetoric and how similar, yet different they are. Wonderful professors. RMU is lucky to have them on their staff.
