Comment:

I took the online CIS601 class and found it rather easy for a graduate level course. It was mostly analytical papers and open book quizzes, I spent approximately 4-5 hours per week on this course and received an A grade. There is very little feedback on coursework, probably due to 175 people being in the class. This was a boring class though.

Comment:

This course was fairly easy for graduate level studies. The TAs grade easy as well. Course is more analytical than technical. Course material is well laid-out. As long as you do the work, you should pass. Laziness and procrastination will be the only downfall but that's a personal problem.

Comment:

If you can tolerate his thick Turkish accent, Dr. Foroughi is a very nice and caring professor that truly wants you to do well. But his lectures are rough.. but not because they are difficult; they are just so long and dry. Be prepared for weekly group assignments. You do get to pick your group at the beginning of the semester so choose wisely.

I enjoyed Dr. Foroughi's course. He lets students in this course work ahead. He released the content for the course 2 weeks before it started. I was able to work on the course ahead of schedule, finishing 2 weeks before the last day of the course. I was nervous before I took this course, worked out as one of the best I've taken in the MBA program.

Lectures can be difficult to follow at times, but Dr. Foroughi takes time out of class to help and is very kind and respectful. The essay portion of exams can be a bit cumbersome.

CIS367 -- Good class! The course was well executed and learned a great deal and appreciate. Dr. Foroughi was very understanding and tried to help me succeed in his class. I definitely recommend this course and this professor.

Good guy, terrible teacher. VERY scatter brained and doesnt understand how to teach or direct a lecture. Open book test were the only godsend

I love technology, but this class is horrible. Random homework with no clear due dates. Drones on and on from PowerPoint. PICK YOUR GROUP FAST. I do feel he enjoys the topic he teaches, but just bad at teaching it. Sadly if your reading this your probably going to have to take him, due to the many teacher - class monopolies that is USI BEC ... RUN!

Dr. Foroughi is a nice guy who really cares about his students. He teaches networking with enthusiasm. Quizzes will hurt your grade and he no longer takes up homework assignments which hurts your grade as well. Be sure that you are in a good group.

He rambles during lectures and cannot keep a direct train of thought. Very scatterbrained. His lectures cover too much material, as does the whole class. There is no way to learn all of the material from his lectures. It is very hard to understand him.
