If you good in math, take him because he is really hard to follow.Too much questions on his exam, so you don't even time to finish. 21 students out of 36 withdraw from the class, but I worked so hard and I got an A. Not recommend him.

SUPER nice guy and kind of funny. However he teaches really quickly and he's very difficult to follow. I passed intermediate math with a 97% bearly doing any work and I had to withdraw from this class beause I couldnt follow him. Homework doesnt help. Tests are really hard with minimal review. Even if your really good at math, dont take him.

I would highly recommend this teacher only if you consider yourself to be a student that has done well in any prior math classes or if you are inquisitive and are willing to ask many questions. He does tend to go through the material very fast but you if you study hard and ask lots if questions, you'll do fine. Slackers beware!

Seems easy when you are in class and doing homework, but he really does trick you on tests. Some questions on test are not in homework, but may have been mentioned briefly in class. Study notes. Uses different methods than book. Uses different methods than lab. Nice guy,stupid jokes help remember things,but jokes stop being funny after 1st test

I'm a president's list student, so I know what I'm talking about when I say that this man is no good. He will rush through the chapter so fast that you won't catch what he says. Then when you look at your notes later, they're just a pile of illegible scribble because you're trying to keep up with what he has on the board.

He is a great teacher that will not throw you out of his class unless you are totally rude. You can even crack a joke even if it not very funny or he will do it for you. The class is good because he is the department chair I believe. He has an office also to visit. Nor reason to fail his class in my opinion. Good grader and gives partial credit

Hes a nice guy but his class is hard to follow. He knows what hes teaching but he has a hard time explaining. I dont recommend taking his class if you stuggle with math. Theres 5 hand written test with no multiple choice and only about 10-15 questions per test. homework is not mandatory.

Prof Hamlin is probably the best math professor i've had. Im an Engineer major and his teaching really improved my skills in my core engineering courses. He does fly through material, but is crystal clear on everything. His tests are hard, and tricky but study hard, do your homework, and you should have no problems. The guy is a genius, IMO.

Prof. Hamlin tries very hard to keep his class alive; though sometimes it fails. He cracks up some jokes, some of them are funny, some are just weird. He is a very nice person. If you need help, he will help you and makes sure you understand. His tests are not cumulative which is great! They are hard if you did not study but easy if you did.

I thought Mr Hamlin was going to be okay. Boy was i surprised.This is the kind of class for people who don't slack off. Even for smart students the class was difficult. Tests were HARD, hmwk is non-stop and during class he would go kinda fast .He's a nice guy and all just not the great teacher for math students.
