Comment:

Duff is one of the coolest professors ever, but his class is hard. Hes a great guy, but if I hadnt taken AP calc AB then I wouldve done poorly. Hes helpful, funny, and good if you like lecture classes. The problem sets were harder than the other classes and homework is graded for accuracy. You definitely know the material well after his class.

Comment:

Dr. Campbell is a great teacher, but only if you are good at lectures. He throws up notes on the board pretty quickly, but always answers questions. His tests are difficult, but he prepares you for them. VERY accessible in and out of office hours. He'll really try to help you succeed, but won't take bs excuses. Be ready for bold jokes in class.

The online homework for his class was great because you can just keep redoing it util you get a 100. He is a hilarious guy, but can get sidetracked during lectures. You will have to work for a good grade. The tests aren't worth a ton and he lets you use cheat sheets. The problems sets were also pretty easy & he's really helpful outside of class.

He is always willing to help you outside of class. The homework was tedious, but helped learn the material. Dr. Campbell is great!

Dr. Campbell is a tough, but extremely fair and caring professor. He explains concepts well to math majors and non-majors alike. He strives to get to know you as a person and gives credit for the hard work you put in. You will really learn the subject with Dr. Campbell.

Duff's a great teacher, but he wasn't the teacher for me. I had him for Calc 1 fall semester and I will say that his exams were beyond difficult for me, even after doing copious amounts of homework every night and going to his office hours and asking a multitude of questions. But his Hawaiian shirts were always on point lol

Dr. Campbell is one of the kindest men I've ever met and his teaching is pristine. I took him for Calc I and II, and I regret nothing. I had a hard first year of school, and he pulled through for me many times when I needed some leeway. However, I had to work hard for my grade. He will help you whenever you need and even gave us his home phone #.

Dr. Campbell is great. Really friendly and helpful (he gives you his home phone and encourages you to use it). The class was difficult but it was Calculus and I'm a non major. Beware of the tests! Study, study, study!

Dr. Campbell is an awesome teacher. His class is not going to be easy per say. He challenges his students to be the best they can be. He is always available to help students to understand the material. He has a great sense of humor, too. He is a professor I would want to take another class with.

He is a fantastic teacher, always willing to help whether it's at 2 AM by email or in his office. What's more, you can tell he's very passionate about mathematics through his lectures and it's difficult to not enjoy any of his classes.

I love this man. He is extremely helpful outside of class and works very hard to help his students understand the material. His courses are difficult but very worth it.

Duff is really funny, and expects a lot of time from you in the homework and projects. If you read the text and go to office hours when you're having a hard time understanding material, you'll do great.

The class was extremely difficult, but Campbell was always very eager to help with any issues I was having. The homework was a piece of cake, but the tests were brutal. I advise not to take this with any other advanced classes. However, he is a jolly old fellow and will make you smile even when you want to die.

The tests in CALC 1 are very difficult. It seems like he tries to trick students with the test questions. He is a great guy overall and is ALWAYS willing to help and even gives out his home phone number and says you can call anytime before 11 PM.

Really helpful. If you're having trouble with a project then just go ask him for help and he'll walk you through it. You can even call him at home. MAKE SURE YOU STUDY EARLY FOR EACH TEST! I barely missed getting an A for this, LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE!

For tests, he lets you have a sheet of paper, write down all formulas you will need and how you'll use them. Final: write down page numbers of formulas to look up in book. Explorations doesn't do enough for a student to judge a professor. However, I did notice that Dr.Campbell has a nice sence of humor and he appears to truely love teaching. He has his own opinions about how to best teach a student and about what is not really important in the teaching process.
