I knew a lot of the stuff from high school but it was a good refresher. She knows a lot about culture and shares about things a lot. Really easy class.

Professor Jolley was a very nice teacher to have. I knew a lot of the material from my high school Spanish classes, so at times I wasn't learning new things, but extra practice never hurts. Although our night class was awkwardly timed, she was always cheerful and made class fun. We also learned about South American culture and music.

Take her if you want an easy A (very easy), but don't take her if you actually need to learn. She reads straight from the book during class; I didn't learn anything, but got an A with no work!

She's a great person and an effective teacher. Attendance is necessary, as it is another language, plus there's lots of in class work that's turned in. Tests are relatively easy, and you do a moderate amount of work from the workbook.

Really sweet lady. Her class is very easy, but I'm a SPN minor and I didn't learn much from her. She's a spanish-speaker so she has a hard time explaining things. We had to explain the rules of some things to her. Her tests and quizzes are a cinch, and so is the project. If you want an easy A, take her. If you want to learn the language, don't.

She is a very fun and genuinely sweet lady! She also incorporated hispanic culture into the class- we watched a Shakira video & such! If you've had some spanish education previously, you should be fine! Study for weekly vocabs- they are 10 question multiple choice quizes. Tests are straight from pictures/examples in book.

I had taken three years of spanish in high school so this class wasn't all that difficult for me but other people had difficulty because at times, she assumed you understood. She has a hard time explaining some things, but other than that- she's VERY helpful and has a great sense of humor! I'd take her again for another class.

She's a good teacher. English is her second language though so she needs some help explaining things sometimes.

Jolly is a very nice person and tries to make learning fun but she cannot teach. Most of us in the class found that we must read and teach ourselves the subject matter because she didnt know how to. Very frustrating class, I would recommend someone else if you are having a difficult time learning Spanish.

I came into that class loving Spanish. I was minoring in Spanish, but after this semester I am dropping my minor because I don't like SMS' Spanish teachers. She is from Chile and she doesn't teach the class. You have a test every week which are easy, but I have taken nothing out of this class.

Enjoyed the class tremendously and would take her again. She lets you know what is expected of you and really wants everyone to do well. If you don't do well, the problem is not with her! Do the homework and you'll do fine

I had her for 201 and found her to be so helpful that I took her again for 202.I appreciated the fact that she assisted me in learning practical applications for Spanish. The assigned time in the language lab was very helpful.
