I had him for Neoclassical English. He was pretty easy. We had simple online quizzes and three tests. Tests were easy, he basically tells you what is on them ahead of time. An easy grader on papers too. Definitely take him if you get the chance. He is cool and knows his stuff!

He was the greatest professor i have taken at William Paterson! Very easy to understand and his tests weren't too hard. You just needed to study for them. He takes attendance in every class but his class is a blast. Take him! No homework just 1 paper and 3 tests and a Final.

He was a really nice guy. there wasnt as much reading as i thought there would have been. he explained all readings very clearly and made them so easy to understand, which made the exams easy. He was a really great teacher so if u get a chance to take his class definatly do it.

Awesome teacher. One of few classes I enjoyed getting up for every week. He really puts things at a level that is easy for the typical college student to understand, and he makes you, inadvertantly, learn things about lit and about yourself that you never would have thought about before. DEFINITELY TAKE HIM IF YOU GET THE CHANCE!!!!!

THE BEST PROFESSOR IN THE ENGLISH DEPT. He not only makes the class intriguing, but he also explains things to his students so that everything becomes clear. He assigned a really elusive essay to read for us to write a paper on, but it was "do-able." I enjoyed his class greatly and would have taken him again if offered the chance.

Barnes is an awesome professor.He does give unexpected quizzes and his tests are kind of hard but hes not boring at all. Hes so funny and easy to talk to.Just take good notes and do the readings and you'll do fine.I would definitely take him again.

professor barnes has to be one of the greatest english professors at william paterson. he's brilliant. if your one of those people that want an easy grade dont take him, but if you want to learn and enjoy a class take him cause class is fun and you get a lot out of his class. To those that said he's a stingy grader your just lazy and put no effort
