Comment:
This course Dr. Achar taught me was classical mechanics. Lengthy problems describing projectile motion and discussing energies of systems. Lengthy material! But if you put in effort as a student, do homework, listen to Dr. Achar, then you will do great! Dr. Achars lectures are direct and lengthy. PREPARE YOURSELF!

I would not recommend this professor to anyone. He poorly explains the the material and gives pop quizzes every other class. He does have a thick accent, but after a few classes it is easily understood. Overall, I would suggest to find another professor.

This guy is really cool. He is slightly difficult to understand sometimes, but super patient so just ask if you need him to say it again. He will literally teach something three times if you need it. Do the problems in the book and whatever he gives you and you'll make an A. Be responsible for yourself. He is a great professor and super smart.

Dr. Achar is a great professor and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. The people saying he is too hard to understand are the ones who simply did not study and received a bad grade. He gets most of his test questions from H.W. He will throw in a curve ball to separate the A and B students (we're in college, this should be expected). Take him.

Accent is horrendous and difficult to understand. For instance whenever he tries to joke, only few people laughs and rest of the class just have weird smurf on their face. Because most of us have so much difficult time understanding him.

He's a nice guy and his accent isn't that thick. I could comprehend 99% of everything he said. The lectures are pretty boring and the material gets a little difficult towards the end, but he grades on a curve and offers extra credit. Tests are not that difficult as long as you study the quizzes (which he gives every other class or less), etc.

funny guy but incredibly hard to understand. he tells you what you need to study for each test.. but none of that is on the test.

Amazingly intelligent professor. He is very lenient when it comes to grades, believe me. He curves, so that helps. Don't be discouraged by low test scores, if you stick it out and show interest you should be alright. I would highly recommend him personally. I wish I had to have another Astronomy class because of him. Very approachable after class.

Everyone complains about trying to understand him, but you can just fine after a day or two. very interesting class to say the least, you learn alot of things you would have never thought of. The tests are a little bit difficult. For me, no matter how hard I tried, I ended up with a C+ to a B-(which isn't bad). Hard teacher, but good class

Difficult class, but I was never really good with physics or astronomy anyway. I ended up passing with a B because he gave a big curve. Good professor overall and very intelligent.

He wasn't very easy but definately helped the whole class. He will go over the whole chapter again if you ask. Make sure you do the problems he tells you and go over the ones he does for you in class. Tests will be like those.

Mr. Archar is a good teacher. I made C's in 1010 and 1020. His test are strictly from his quizzes. He drops your lowest test and counts your final twice.Takes role only on quiz days=quiz average. Quizzes are not usually graded, but he goes over the quiz in class.Mr.Achar is very fair and curves due to low class averages.Take him and you'll make a C.

Mr. Archar is a good teacher and knows science well. I took him for Phys 1010 and 1020 and passed them both with C's. His class is not easy, but it is not hard as well. His test are strictly from his quizzes and sometimes the same questions appear on the test,if not very similiar ones will appear. Purchasing a book is not necessary to make a C becau

Very nice guy! He is so cute. You just want to put him in your pocket and take him home! His accent isn't that bad. The first day it's a little difficult but once you get used to him he is fine. He laughs at his own jokes and makes a dreaded class very fun. He gets very upset with himself if he feels that everyone does not get the material.

He's pretty nice, and kind of funny. He's hard to understand so sit in the front area and take notes. I didn't use the book at all the whole semester, as long as you take notes you're fine without the book. He's really cool if you have to reschedule a test due to some reason you can't be there. All and all, he's pretty cool.

Achar is a really funny nice guy, and he's really smart and knows exactly what he's talking about. But sometimes it's a little hard to understand what he is saying. You better take good notes and read the book (I've learned my lesson.) This is not the class to cram for tests or you will do poorly!

not big on science classes but will say that Mr. Achar is a really nice guy and tries his hardest to make sure that all his students are learning the material.
