Good and knowledgeable professor. However, I had to give her a 1.0 because she openly humiliates students in front of the entire lecture hall to the point to where it's rude.

Some love her, many hate her. If accounting doesn't come naturally to you and is difficult, please take Melis instead. She goes so fast, too intimidating to ask questions, and honestly just comes off as cold. She is known to be tough and literally comes off like a mean high school teacher. Will humiliate and scream at kids if they aren't attentive.

Barb was very helpful in this class. she explains everything very well and if you study her notes packets you WILL GET AN A. Many kids don't do well because they don't work hard but Barb will clear up any confusion always and notes packets with examples will get you an A

Comment:

Barb is an amazing teacher if you ever need help. She is very clear and gives you many resources in Financial and Managerial Accounting. However, she will not hold your hand and she does go fast through some things. If you're a good student you'll love her, but if you're then you will likely fall behind. Put in the work and you'll be okay!

Barb is fantastic! She knows her stuff, but if you want a good grade you need to work for it. She gives you all the resources to succeed. She can be a bit intimidating at first but once you get to know her, you'll realize how nice and hilarious she is. GO TO OFFICE HOURS. I recommend her to anyone taking the course

As Barb Kren once said to me, "this is an above-average difficulty class and you are just an average student." She constantly judged me and assumed I did not put in any effort or work into the class. Even though I spent 3 hours daily doing accounting outside of class. I did not feel appreciated or as if she wanted to help me be successful.

Professor Kren is a very difficult professor. Though she does know what she is talking about often shes really confusing and makes content harder than it is. Professor melis is much better for this course and handouts will make more sense. Do not take her if you have add or attention issues. If you dont have this make sure you show up to class.

I had her for ACCO 1030 and honestly, one of the best professors I've ever had. She is so helpful both in class and outside of class. She legitimately tells you on day one what you need to do to be successful in her class. She is incredible and extremely resourceful! Will find new ways to make sure you learn and do well in her class!

LOVED Professor Kren in class! She was so thorough in all of her explanations and expectations. She was persistent about her availability and willingness to help us outside of class which was comforting to me especially since I was in a larger section. She is intimidating at first, but get on her good side early by going to office hours!

Prof. Kren is a passionate accounting professor. She gives very detailed explanations for each concept and provides handouts for students to review. The only thing is that her handouts are thick! So, make sure you study those materials early and try sort the most important information out.

Barb is a great professor, she truly cares about every student. In a lecture with hundreds of kids she wants everybody to succeed. Her tests can be difficult but she gives you all the resources necessary to pass. The lectures can be hard to sit through but that's just because its an accounting class! Great lady.

Professor Kren is an incredible teacher to have for accounting. She knows exactly what she's doing and has found ways to explain tough concepts so that the students can understand it. Accounting is a tough subject, but I seriously think her being the teacher made me love it. TAKE HER IF YOU CAN!

Barb is great. If you follow her directions like you follow your parents directions, you will be guaranteed a B or above. You'll get at least a B if you read and do homework daily. She is super helpful in office hours. I recommend her for anyone who is unsure how they will do in ACCO1030. If you do all this and have a mind for ACCO, you'll get an A

You will want Kren or Gruber. Kren is direct and very into her job. She is the most organized, Type A person you will every meet... EVER. I have since switched my major to Accounting. The class is a lot of work, detailed oriented, and challenging, however, I loved it!!! She will NOT waste your time (or hers). Office hours are helpful!!!

This class was very hard, so skipping class means you miss a lot and do poorly on the exams. Professor Kren knows the subject like the back of her hand and is very determined to make you the same way. The exams were very hard and would always take the full amount of time to complete. If you don't study 6+ hours for the exams good luck.

Mrs. Kren is a great accounting teacher! Accounting is a tough class in general and about 1/3 of my class dropped before the final, but if you want to pass the class Kren is the best option. She gives out clear and helpful packets along with weekly lessons. Study for the exams a week in advance, go to class and do her homework and you'll pass.

Comment:

I had Professor Kren for Financial Accounting. She was a great teacher with many examples given in class. It is difficult to ask questions in her class because it is very fast paced. The tests are difficult regardless of the teacher you have, MAKE SURE TO DO THE HW! I was an A student in high school and ended up getting a C in this class.
