INB4104 Dr. Alsua is one of those people who are great, extremely knowledgeable, successful, yet very down to earth and approachable. He can be blunt and stern at times, so if you have a thin skin, he may not be your cup of tea. If you are an independent person and willing to work hard you will be inspired.

Alsua is great. One of the best most helpful professors I have had. He does know his stuff. He many not be popular with people who want easy A´s but that´s their problem. He is tough yet fair.

I took his BA 300 course last semester and it was cake. This course, not so much. The tests and quizzes were extremely hard. I would read the chap, take notes, and make a vocab sheet and would still get 60's and 70's. I failed both tests but ended up with a B only because I worked my butt off on the paper and got 100%. This is not an easy course!

Excellent class. I took an online class with professor Alsua. He was excellent, one of the best, most helpful, least intrusive online classes I´ve taken. Someone else complained in another comment. I think they did not get whatever they wanted and they are having a tantrum. Alsua rocks!

Took the online summer course and really enjoyed it. He's a bit harsh when it comes to quiz timing but 9 time out of 10 you don't need the full time. He was easy to get a hold of, very nice, and very helpful. I would highly suggest this course.

Great teacher. Took the online class, need to read the chapter a couple times and take notes before the quiz. Everything is timed but it is enough if you've studied well. He grades very fast on projects, will take him again!

I took his online class and it was very easy. However, after the syllabus was posted he never posted an annoucement or anything and you were basically on your own. All you have to do it read the book (and the power points). I felt that he wasn't very approachable or helpful though.

If you read the book before quizzes and come to class, you'll be fine. Make sure you take detailed notes as his essay questions on the exams are about lectures. Course was easy for a distance education course. Be sure to do the practice quizzes from the publisher and print each one off before you take his quizzes. This WILL help you during the course. Midterm and final are tough. Reading the book is essential.
