Comment:

Dr. Ryall is one of my favorite professor's of all time. She is very passionate about public speaking and creates an atmosphere where you feel like your classmates are your family. I had to work hard for an A but it was definitely worth the effort. I 100% recommend taking her, you won't regret it!

Dr. Ryall is the personification of a professional college professor. Why she teaches at IRSC. This is what my original impression of college was when I first started. Her's are not classes for slackers. She is exacting and holds you accountable. Finally, I now know that a colon sounds like EEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Over all she's not too bad of a teacher. She grades students essays pretty harshly. She's a little funny in class. She does it to try get the students interested and listening. She gives class quizzes at the end of every class. She only gives you about 3 to 5 minutes to do the quizzes. So if you are a long quiz taker like me dont take her class.

Great teacher and person, and can be funny at times. If you don't study you will not get a good grade though. i did the online quizzes and used the book to study for the mid term and final. If you need a little extra credit to get an A she will give you an assignment

The most worthwhile class I've ever had! Dr. Ryall is demanding on her student simply because she wants us to succeed! She is also very helpful and receptive to students' needs and issues, but she won't baby you. If you are interested in really learning something about education, take her class. She is an excellent teacher with great energy!

Comment:

Eccentric personality doesn't translate well to everyone. Stresses different learning styles, so you can't use the same method of preparation twice. Makes a point to nitpick essays for little things more so than content.

I loved Ryall. Not only is she a sweetheart, but you can tell she genuinely loves her profession. She makes me want to become a successful teacher. A lot of material to cover, but if you attend class, do all assignments, and follow directions, you will pass with an A or a B. I definitely recommend her.

This was her 1st sem. teaching Ed. classes, I think she should teach more often! Recomend for anyone in education, she is so enthusiastic and talks about all the issues and problems in a teacher's reality. Helps you out as you go w. the reflections & critiques, u aren't left to sink or swim. she is SOO nice and makes u feel really excited about Ed.

An extremely interesting professor. Keeps things clear and prevents classes from getting boring. Time flies. She makes speech class a comfortable experience. Her tests are easy to pass as long as you pay attention in class, but, most importantly, study the chapters in the textbook that she tells you to. Definitely a great professor.

Great teacher. Very vivacious, wasn't boring to listen to. Took her during summer and she didn't make speech class extremelly hard, as long as you make a speech and keep it w/in her time frame you'll pass. She's always available and willing to help.

I took her speech class, she was very helpful and did not make speeking in front of people harder than it is. She has a very clear syllabus and explains far in advance what you need to do to get an A. Tests are made with student success in mind. You must put in some work though.
