Comment:

This course is based on Microsoft cert materials. Mr. Johnson went to great lengths to test out every assignment prior to posting. It is clear he was always interested in helping students learn. After nearly a dozen tech courses; online, hybrid and classroom, at 3 junior colleges in the Bay Area I feel comfortable saying he works harder that most.

Comment:

Yes he is easy, but that is about the only good thing. Course is very disorganized. Expect to waste 3+ weeks before starting labs because they wont be set up. Lecture is word for word from the book, as is the test. Course is beneficial ONLY if you need credit towards certification, otherwise you will be better off learning on your own.

Comment:

A nice guy and knows his stuff. But this is about the most boring class you will have. He will put you to sleep and not notice. Charged $2 lab fee, but touch computer one time and ends class at least 1.5 hours early every day, so we are overcharged for the class. Microsoft download process gives you wrong title half the time and staff doesn't care.

Comment:

Course material and lectures were great, relevant, and covered the MCSE exam topics. No spoonfeeding, the labs were helpful, and it helps if you have some real world IT experience. Took CNET 50C, 50D and 50B, and liked the courses.

Dreadfully boring lectures, trouble staying awake. Many areas though, his knowledge is weak or lacking. His exams not related to actual MCSE exam material, more of obscure book oriented questions. Applicability to MCSE is questionable. He does a lot of great work for labs. If you can stomach bad lectures, labs worth the course.

Best networking instructor at Foothill.Extremely helpful and wanting everyone to succeed.If you are like the cisco students that want to sit in class and have the teacher read the book to you, do not take this class.You have to be self motivated and read the text beforehand as he won't (and shouldn't IMO) go through every little detail in the text

chuck is a great guy, he loves the material and explains confusing topics in a straightfoward manner. sometimes he oversimplifies and i wish he would go into more depth, but his classes are great for beginners.
