Comment:

Honors Chem Lab with Dr. Sheeran was easier than lecture for me. 1st formal lab report is hard, definitely recommend making a group chat with your classmates! !! overall: was a relatively easy course. Given plenty of time for lab reports, and after the first few notebook reports you should have the hang of it and have no problem getting an A.

Great person, extremely intelligent lectures, no extra credit. Take every grade seriously: only quizzes are dropped. Keep a solid grade through the semester and you'll be fine for the final. MC questions on the tests are what got me the most, but other than that I had no problem getting an A.

He is very knowledgeable but has a difficult time communicating it to the students. At times he would get lost in his lectures and the students would be confused. Not an impossible class but you have to study every night if you want to pass.

Dr. Sheeran is great! Chemistry is hard for me. I struggled in this course because this is not my strong point. However, he teaches clearly and is easy to understand. He is always more than willing to help me outside of class. I really loved having him as my teacher this semester and I would definitely take him again.

This guy is a hoot! If you get really close to him in lab you will experience how weird his breath smells. And, in lecture, he is constantly clearing his throat which made me laugh, uncontrollably. Other than that, this guy means well.

The big thing here is that you have to force yourself to study every day.. not the few days before the exam. His tests are incredibly difficult and I cannot emphasize more that you HAVE to study every day. If you are looking for an easy A I would not recommend. However, if you actually want to learn chemistry then definitely take this professor!

I enjoy Chemistry. I found this class to be of average difficulty. Dr. Sheeran explains concepts well. But, tests are very difficult unless you are a fast test taker. His tests are too long for the time limit. Otherwise, if you pay attention in class this should be an easy course.

I loved having Dr. Sheeran as a lab professor. He's always walking around making sure we were doing the experiment correctly and would always answer your questions. I definitely would take his class again!

His labs are super easy. He explains everything right before you go into lab, and if you have any questions, he basically gives you the answer. He can be sarcastic and a bit rude, but if pay attention and spend time on your work you'll easily pass the class.

This is the worst teacher in the chemistry department. Do not take him as a teacher. His tests are to long to be taken in the time we are allowed and his practice tests don't reflect the intensity of the test at all. His version of notes is a bunch of worthless ramblings done in a word document.

This is not my first chemistry calss so I found it easy and repetitive. He has pages of notes to take and he doesn't go slow. His quizzes and tests are pretty easy though he tells you what will be on the test.

If you are taking chemistry to actually learn chemistry he is the best teacher you could possibly have. If not, I would not recommend taking his class. Yes, it is difficult, but he is literally one of the most helpful/dedicated teachers you could ask for. If you get a bad grade in his class it's your fault, period. He's very entertaining too.

i never understood anything in class but hes really good at explaining things one on one. hes really willing to help students who seek the help also. if you are not good at chem, i would NOT reccommend him. he makes the class very hard. he does give an online hw assignment every week to help though, this is new to his class

He was an awful teacher. He failed nearly everyone in the class and the rest mainly got D's and C's. He was very strict and wouldn't give any homework. He only gave tests that were very hard. He was crabby too! He was the worst professor I have ever taken!

What a psycho. He's worthless and wierd as can be. he doesn't care at all and tries to act like he's so superior that he's god. Has no business teaching. sometimes EIU will hire anyone case in point.
