Comment:

Dr. Merson is a very interesting professor to listen to. Keep up with current events or you will not do well in this class. As long as you show up to class, pay attention, and take notes, you should be fine. He gives generous curves. He rambles and sometimes talks too fast. He's a pretty chill teacher though. 2 Tests, ~4 Quizzes, no papers.

All he does is ramble on and on. I could't keep up with his lectures and his midterm and final were extremely hard! He seems nice but I would suggest taking someone else for the an intro.

Great guy and teaches well at least for the way i tend to learn. The fact that they make him teach mega classes is why it the course seems so hard. I can honestly say I would prefer a paper a multiple choice test does this class no justice and makes it 10x harder.

This guy drove me up the wall! His lectures were a lot of ramblings about his own beliefs and personal stories and you never know what he expected of you. Oddly I loved the class and learned to just tune him out when he went off on a tangent. His tests have material from completely left field, so be warned. Barely used the $70 book *shrug*

Merson is a really chill guy, his exams and quizes are pretty hard, but if you go to class and study you will do fine. He's an awsome teacher, and a great guy. His lectures are very interesting, and most of the time histerical. I'm in a class of 150 and he makes it seem like your in a class of 30. GREAT CLASS.

Best professor I have ever had. Have never seen anyone so passionate about teaching and wanting you to understand. In class, a dynamo, out of class, very shy and keeps to himself unless you need help with class. Great recommendations he writes and only wants you to do well. Take him at any cost. He needs to tea theory again!! He made us understand!

One of the best teachers i have ever had. Knows his subject in and out, he is really amusing. Hard test but he curves them fairly, and they are open book open note. Best quality is he has a good prospective on the students point of view. Take him if you get the chance.

Comment:

He's a nice guy overall and knows what he is talking about. Open book tests, they are difficult though if you don't take good notes! No review before test so you can only imagine how hard the exams are. He's one of those who stands at the front of the classroom and talks the entire time. I really wouldn't recommend him.
