Very good professor. Lectures a lot but super sweet. Can see how much he loves Jesus. Before tests he tells you almost everything that will be on it. Just read his book and you will do great.

Dr. Hatchett is a wonderful professor, has vast knowledge concerning theology, history, philosophy, contemporary issues and many more. One of the best classes i have ever taken quite frankly. Would take again.

I would never take him again nor would I recommend him to anybody. I'm trying to be as kind as possible in this review because he is a nice man. That being said, his "lectures" are all over the place. He's often talking about things that have nothing to do with theology, and I honestly didn't learn much in his class. Tests were okay.

Rambles, but if you pay attention when he tells you what will be on the test, it's easy. First test is rough, but its pretty clear what he wants you to know afterwards.

This guy is a really nice guy. With that being said, his lectures can be all over the place. He will give assignments to the class for daily grades, which are not that bad, but YOU HAVE TO SHOW UP. YOU NEVER KNOW WHEN THEY ARE AND YOU CANNOT MAKE THEM UP. He chooses to do them when there are a lot of people missing. Overall, not bad, but confusing.

The class itself was boring, but take thorough notes because the tests are mostly from the notes and a little bit from the book. Tests are all free-response/fill-in-the-blank, but he tells you what will be on the test. Hatchett offers extra credit opportunities and curves the tests.

Dr. Hatchett is a nice, smart, and confusing. He is very unorganized and it is next to impossible to follow his thought process let alone take notes. However, he tells you exactly what you need to know for the tests and a large portion of them is open book. The class was boring and confusing but his tests were very easy.

I had him for OT and thought is was super easy. He writes pretty much everything you need to know on the board. He rambles a lot but if you listen for the stuff that actually refers to a concept in the Bible you should be fine. I didn't use the textbook that much.

Dr. Hatchett is extremely knowledgable and experienced in the field of Theology. His teaching methods however, are archaic. I call his class story time because you listen to him talk the whole class period. All his questions are rhetorical and he writes the really important theories and people on the board, so write everything on the board down.

Dr. Hatchett is the best professor that I have ever had, bar none. His classes are challenging because he requires that students utilize their grey matter. I wish that I could take more classes with him. He is worth the price of admission by himself.

Overall, I think he is a great teacher. The hardest part about his class are his tests because they are fill in the blank and open response. The questions ARE NOT hard, though. He gives a very thorough review and tells you EXACTLY whats gonna be on he test. Also, there's no papers to write in his class, so that's a plus! :D

He's not really bad, hes just not really good either. Test are all lecture based no review, only verbal review and what he review turns out to be useless. Is Old Testament so it not really interesting or an attention holder, and he makes sure you dont know what to pay attention to through his useless stories and off topic conversation.
