Although I initially found her class a bit difficult, if you honestly put in the work and participate then you really shouldnt have a problem with this class. However, if you do not like reading or have a difficult time following along with a verbal lecture, then I definitely do not recommend this class. Otherwise the class was great!

Get ready to take bunch of notes. Notes are extremely important! Good teacher but for a 101 class she drags it to the absolute max. For the final we had to write 5-6 essays! If you love taking notes than thats your class.

The worst professor I have ever had in my entire life. DO NOT TAKE HER. She is very disrespectful and very rude. Her exams are hard and annoying. NO REVIEW OR STUDY GUIDE FOR THE TEST. Just skip her!

The worst professor I ever had. She doesn't write notes on the board and she speaks very fast. When you ask her to repeat she gets upset. No review for midterm or final. Stay away at all costs unless you want your gpa to drop

I took POL101 with Professor Tetens and she teaches this class at like a 301 level. She made us buy four textbooks and we didn't even use the last two and all she did was lecture and barely wrote down notes. She was a tough grader and was very strict about showing up late or not showing up at all. You're only graded on three throughout the semester

at first, I thought she was an easygoing since she makes these jokes. but she got really boring like no matter how energetic I was I used to feel asleep in her class. way too much speaking in class is done. she wants you to take notes as you speak and theres no way you can catch up to her. no board notes. she doesn't use BB. I would take her class

Extremely rude and confrontational, doesnt provide any reviews for exam tells you just read your notes and says If you know it you know, if you dont you dont. Is often late to class, lectures for the whole entire class no break for the student to use the bathroom. She gets easily irratated when asked to repeat herself, wouldnt recommend her.

Worst professor I've taken. Expects you to read over 50 pages in one day, as if you don't have other classes. Random pop quiz, no homework, but a lot of reading. You have to take notes as she speaking, which is the whole class, she will catch an attitude if she "don't see pens moving." Grading is based on participation, mid-term & final. Bad PRO

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. The workload is so heavy that you will not have time for your other classes. She requires four textbooks which is too much. One of them is $200 used. She teaches this class at a 300 level not 101.

This teacher will literally have you stressed out. She is so passionate about her work that she should not be teaching 100 level classes You have to write down EVERYTHING SHE SAYS Exams are all essay based She makes this class so much HARDER than it needs to be Do yourself the favor and find another teacher that is easier because itsnot worth the C

The tests are tough, we dont have many homeworks other than reading the textbook which takes up a lot of time and get ready to take notes. And if you thought you could go average pace in this class then you're wrong because you go 100miles an hour with the note taking. Overall it was stressful but she's funny and she knows what shes talking about

get ready to read the textbooks and additional materials. Take good notes during lecture and study. She makes you work for it but is very easy to obtain an A if you do the work. Tells lots of stories and is thought provoking class. Consistent participation can boost your grade at the end of the semester. One of my favorite classes this semester

Write every word you hear. The readings are usually discussed in class so you can bring the book with you and just catch up since another student probably read it. She gives low stakes assignments that are kinda like extra credit. Don't be late. The answers to the 2 test are in the books, and discussed in class so take good notes.

I will not sit here and say that Professor Tetens is horrible because she is not. She is extremely intelligent. But, her class work load is impossible to keep up with. Her tests are several essays in a short period of time. She should be teaching at Harvard, not John Jay. I respect her for her intelligence and confidence. I just don't reccomend her

She's the worst! If you are looking for an easy A, she's NOT the one! She literally tries to cram as much info as she can in one class. She does know her stuff, but for a 101 class it's a bit much. She gets mad if she doesn't see you writing down every word she says which is not how everyone learns. She makes you kinda hate the subject.

You need to participate in order to pass. She can be rude and mean but if she likes you you're okay. She also doesn't care if your answer is wrong as long as you participate in the discussion. The entire class is reading from the books and tests you on the information read even of not discussed in class.
