As a person, hes great. As a professor, hes not quite so stellar; on exams, if you get an answer wrong in one part of a question and have to use it in the next part of a question, he will continue taking (a lot of) points off, regardless of your process. He was great for in-class content; now, thanks to COVID, he skips over important stuff.

You can't understand him half the time. He's very boring and doesn't seem to care too much about the students. On my first test the average score was a 61%, and then he blamed us for the bad score.

I love Doug. He's just a goofy, dorky dude. Really nice. Funny (he loves Lady Gaga) and really easy to talk to. Material wasn't that hard, but when it was, he made it clear. Graded HW due every week. Exams were fine -- fair, straightforward, fast. Actually uses the workbook in class which is nice. Tedious notes, but they're useful.

Douggy-fresh is really smart and nice, but a horrible teacher. I think he knows that. Go to his office hours, do the homework, etc. His tests aren't bad- not only are the curved, but old tests are on eRes. They are exactly the same as what he puts on the tests. If you can't get at least a B in Stat1300H, maybe reconsider the whole honors thing.

His honors class was REALLY hard. I had trouble with the tests and homework. I actually ended up crying a few times cause I couldn't figure the homework out. I am, however, a little high strung. To do well in this class, you either have to be amazing at Stats or go see him during office hours. Very willing to help students. He curves his tests too.

Good lecturer, easy to understand, but his tests suck. Everything on them seems so random. His lectures leave people very unprepared for the tests. Other that that, you will learn a lot if you do the homework. The class didn't really help me be prepared for calculus though ( took science majors section of calc I) so I wish I hadn't bothered.

This guy is great. Has a dry (yet very amusing) sense of humor, and really knows how to get a point across to a class, or one-on-one. Easy class, especially if you attend his review sessions. Pretty damn cool guy!
