Comment:

Fred Brick may seem like the typical football coach who also teaches history, but he is not. He is genuinely in love with history & he makes it fun. I look forward to his lectures every MWF. I get highly depressed when he cancels a lecture. Honestly, if you really want an A, you need to crack open that textbook and create an outline for the essay.

If you want a history lesson with some humor, take this class. He takls a lot about his family, but it's always interesting. He does have tough tests, 2 essay tests and 1 multiple choice, but if you study the material, you should be fine. He also goes over the testing material with you if you need help. Also, you write a book review. Just do it!

I don't believe I've heard of anyone getting an A from Fred. His tests consist of 20ish multiple choice questions, and then you choose 1 of 3 topics to write an essay about by hand in the testing center. He gives them to you in advance, but you BETTER KNOW THOSE!! Students write an avg of 5-15 pgs during them, and still only get maybe a B.

There is a reason I call his classes, "The Greatest Show on Earth". He's a cool guy who really cares about his students and wants to see them succeed. Kinda difficult if you forget stuff on the tests though. Also, he looks similar to Sean Connery.

One of the best teachers available. He gives the course outline ahead of time, including all topics covered, if you get stuck or want to know more, he is great in office hours. On top of it, he tells you almost exactly what the test is going to be, but if you want an A, you better know it, no homework, just test

Fred's a nice guy, but I didn't think his class lived up to all the hype. He likes to talk about himself a lot, which kind of annoyed me sometimes. His style of teaching didn't really capture my attention very well. I didn't find his essay tests overly difficult, just time consuming to take and study for. I passed the class with an A fairly easily.

Probably the most exciting history teacher that I have ever had. Seriously. If you went or are going to go to Socc... you have to take his class. He makes the college. Without him, it is nothing. Take any class with him. I'm on my 6th and final one

Fred is awesome. I took is class six terms (Political Science and History) and I have to say professors that are has good as he are few and far between. He's easy to understand and he makes the class fun. Plus, you can tell he loves his job and what he teaches.
