best professor! yes he was always late and he talks a lot about his life and the degrees he has but besides that if you are slow in math and need someone to teach you at your own pace then definitely take him!

Comment:

He repeats everything 1,000 times for you to understand what you are doing. He is a storyteller and sometimes loses himself by telling his stories so the student has to remind him where he left off. As much as he helps you understand the math, it is as many times he repeats the same story. He is very old school and does not use technology.

If you want to learn the curriculum dont take this class , hes a great teacher dont get me wrong but his lateness , & constantly getting off topic can be distracting for some . He explains things for you to understand but if youre not paying attention and watching YouTube videos on your own time you arent gonna gain anything from the class .

(Summer Course) He was a great teacher. I cannot do algebra for the life of me but he made sure I passed the CUNY test. I passed it on my first try. I missed 3 classes in the summer course but i was able to catch up. He is extremely good but he does get off topic really quick. TAKE HIM IF YOU ARE SLOW IN MATH BUT SHOW UP. NO HOMEWORK.

Comment:

He is definitely a good teacher and knows what he's talking about. He'll make sure each of the students understands the material that is taught in the class. He's also very open to questions so do not be afraid to ask in class. I do have some complaints: he's ALWAYS late to class, his communication is very lackluster and tends to be irresponsible.

Took him for a six week summer course. He is passionate about math and Im terrible for math but I was able to grasp on the material in a short amount of time.

Professor Reese easily one of the best math professors at BMCC. I took him and I got an A in his precalc class and now Calculus 1 is a breeze for me. I absolutely recommend him for anyone taking precalc.

I find him very entertaining and relaxing for a math class. Yes he talks about himself or goes off topic a lot but he makes the class chilled. Easy A and he teachers good !

clearly passionate/knowledgeable about math. However, his expertise makes him impatient& unable to answer/explain concepts to still-learning students. Very disorganized, frequently forgetting to bring materials to class, test dates, etc. Passing out dittos took 45++ min every time. no joke. I only passed by getting outside help from tutor/m lab.

Good prof. cares about his students. But sometimes he says too many stories and gets off the topic is funny sometimes. He teaches the math step by step easy for you to understand. I would deff. take him again if I had too!

the best. I regret not continuing my engineering science studies. he even had the course do a project and we received a 500 dollar stipend. Prof Reese is all about his students. He does not only lecture cal, he is calculus.

Professor Resse is not a good professor. I did not learn anything in this course besides realizing how bad of choice I made by choosing him as a teacher. He does not give tests back and is very unorganized. If you're a mediocre student who wants to pass and get by, he's your professor. Otherwise, if you don't want to ruin your GPA, don't take him.

if you want to pass a stress-free semester than this professor is for you. but you will have no idea about your progress as he doesnt give exam back. probably he gives grade only in the final exam. he misses classes very often. at last he wont give you below B- but the important thing is in the whole semester you will have no idea about your grade.

Professor Reese is THE BEST math teacher I've ever had, seriously. I took his statistics course in the summer - he reviews the previous day's work, and gets on with the lesson. He's not a heckler for questions, so ask away! First time in a longtime I understood math; he made it ridiculously easy!
