Professor Stengard, is awesome! You will learn a ton from him, he is a very smart guy with a ton of practical and useless knowledge.:) Here's the summary. Overall wonderful teacher! tests are kind of tough, take GOOD notes! You learn a lot in his class, and he is veryyyy nice!! And gives a lot of extra credit, it's hard not to pass.

Lots of notes but they are vital for your grade. He's very helpful and wants you to do well in his class. If you plan on missing - you better have a friend in the class that will lend you the notes. He won't post the powerpoints. It's all up to you.

Great teacher, great class, if you know nothing about oceanography you will come out knowing a ton. 3 tests one final. No way to fail this class, if he teaches another one I will take it. This is one of the good teachers at SPC

Very nice guy, always willing to help. Really wants to make sure you get the best grade you can! He even gives you points just for trying. However, the class isn't as exciting as I thought it would be and there was a lot more math than I expected.

Great guy and great teacher! Three tests and one final exam. Lots of extra credit on the tests. No other grades. He teaches entirely by notes but he will NOT put the powerpoints on angel. However, very easy to talk to and always willing to help!

You have 3 exams and a final with LOTS of extra credit available for All tests. Must be ready to take LOTS of notes and study hard. I am not very good with science or interested, I just needed a physical science. If I worked a little harder I would have made a B. His tests needed more study time from me.

Great guy..Friendly, helpful. Just take notes, and study them for the test. He gives you 12 points extra credit in each test. I took the lab with him as well is was harder at the beginning, but don't dropped it gets easier towards the ends, plus he helps a lot!

Take notes and study them. Three tests, midterm and Final. He is very helpful if you don't understand but you have to go to class to get the notes. I took his lab, too. The 2 tests for the lab are challenging but if you study the labs you will do fine. He tells you what's on the tests if you ask about things and he drops hints all the time!

Prof Stengard is awesome. He is very devoted. There are LOTS and LOTS of notes and you don't need ur Txtbook at all. Study the notes very well and you will do good on test. He gives lots of extra credit too. And, does review sessions at the beach!!!! He is a really great guy. Oh and he takes you on a BAMA fieldtrip-that place reeks of fish!

He was a great teacher, even if you are just taking this for the science credits he makes it fun. He does love oceanography! He always gives extra credit and if you study you will make an A. There are a lot of notes but other than studying and extra credit there isn't any homework.

Great professor i took the class to get credit in science and acutally enjoyed myself, its a lecture so there is alot of notes but you can tell he loves that ocean!! tests are pretty hard, but come on its college pick up a book :)
