Took Introduction to Philosophy (Philosophy 201) in the winter of 1991 (yes, this freak has been teaching this long). His class was so uninteresting, and he made no real effort to get to know the students or really care if we were understanding what he taught. He's was a bore and extremely glib.

He was very nice but the class was incredibly boring. It was too long and directions were not clear at ALL. He talked mostly about the holocaust,which would be fine it that was not ALL he talked about. He played a lot of movies that were very boring. Assignments were easy but not really interesting. I will never take another Phil class.

He is a very sweet man. This is a tough subject if you are not interested in it as I wasn't. However, as long as you attend and participate you will do fine. No tests, quizzes, or final. 1 group project and a paper but no homework otherwise. Hard subject but he is easy and so is the class.

Class is very interesting. You have to engage in alot of discussions, since you are graded heavily on participation. He needs to have more control of the class. Especially when people ramble and take up alot of the class time.

HE IS A NICE AND CARING PROFESSOR. WE HARDLY USED THE TEXTBOOK. AS LONG AS YOU DO THE ASSIGNMENTS(EASY)& ENGAGE IN THE CLASSROOM DISCUSSIONS (20% OF GRADE) YOU WILL DO FINE IN HIS CLASS. HE TENDS TO LOSE CONTROL OF THE CLASS AT TIMES BY ALLOWING PEOPLE TO RAMBLE ON FOR A WHILE. OTHER THAN THAT, HE'S A GOOD PROFESSOR. NO TESTS IN THIS CLASS :-)

Prof. Auroze is an excellent professor. He emphasizes the concepts of the subject and not the paperwork. He enjoys open class discussion and is a very kind and caring instructor and person. If you have not interest in the subject, engage in the class anyway and it will be much more enjoyable!

Wonderful teacher, really involves everyone in class. Quizzes are tricky but he is generous with extra credit. Explores some deep issues and answers all questions that students pose--doesn't mind if you disagree with him. Really cares about students and subject matter. Highly recommended to all students.

Had him with another teacher. Taught only once during the whole semester, and that one time, he brought a video-tape of himself lecturing, so he wouldn't have to lecture again. I can't say much else but because he only spoke like twice during the entire semester, but I certainly do not remember anything that tape said...

Excellent Professor. I really enjoyed the conversations that we had in class. Quizzes are very tricky, but he gives you plenty extra credit to make up for it. Final, was 3 essays no more than 2 pages each. I got an A+ without studying really hard.

The tests were not very difficult, as long as you study your notes the night before. Very calm, but smart teacher. Has many open conversations with the class, getting everyone involved. He keeps things simple so that nobody is left behind. Just dont miss class, thats the only way to mess up in this class!!!

Easy class to pass. Gives study guide & allows notes for tests & extra credit. Gets you thinking about life. Lots of movies. He is very helpful & loves philosophy. Great sense of humor. The reading is harsh, but not his fault phil is so annoying. He will defend all sides and let you decide your own opinion. Interesting debates!!!!
