v easy grader but makes you do so much work. The entire class is a group project. He throws a lot at you without warning. Either your entire life revolves around this class or you don't think about it at all for weeks, there is never a happy medium. His lectures are pretty boring but you gotta go to class or else your grade will die

Nice guy, not the best teacher. 10 page paper at end of class, lots and lots of group work. You won't learn much.

Do not take his class if you want to learn anything. I honestly could not tell you what this class was supposed to be about, but it was an easy A.

Changes the class requirements frequently, so it's hard to stay on track with what you're supposed to do. Requires students to do busy work for him as required assignments. Students required to present a poster at a student conference, but the instructions he gives on creating the posterentering in the conference are unclear. Relies on TAs a lot.

This guy is interesting but not very culturally relativistic (a term from his class) in his own actions towards his students especially if they don't mesh with his ethos. You'll learn the material but don't question his views.

Blogs help boost your grade as long as you reflect. Attendance policy and random group projects throughout the semester make showing up mandatory. Don't have to take the final if you do well in the course. His lectures are detailed and come from experience. lots of movies & readings that evoke critical thinking and developing your own perspective

This guy is very personable and he makes class fun and interesting. He has alot of "real" world experience to bring to his lectures. And he goes out of his way to make sure that the class is on track and understands the materialand knows what he expects. One professor who actually cares about students.

I find it hard to believe what some people have said here. This guy is very knowlegable and soft spoken. Fairly understanding when it comes to absenses. Relates his life experiences to class situations. I like his class, alot.

Great, fun guy. Brings extra to the class to help emerse the students into the subject or culture or the coarse. Down to earth, honest and up front. Grades easy and instructs casually.

This could be an interesting class if the instructor knew what he was talking about. Very cocky, very into himself, and only really pays attention to the "hot" chicks. He thinks he's a "man's man" and all the women in the world wish that he would get a reality check. Also, not a very helpful instructor. Can be extremely mean and is very ****.

He's fun, funny, and extremely liberally biased, but he tells you so up front. I would've enjoyed this class had it not been offered at 6.30 only :(

Gerald Waite is one of the most heartless human beings who has ever lived. His favoratism is well-known, his animal cruelty horrifying, and his lack of respect for students...well...unpleasant. He teaches interesting subjects, but it isn't worth it.
