Prior to attending class I believed LASC235, Issues in Latin America, would be interesting to say the least. Unfortunately her teaching style is subjective and her lectures are biased. She drops insult towards the US in all her lectures. She gives no guidelines for assignments and reveals no grades until the end of the semester. Avoid.

ivette's personal grudge against the u.s. comes through loud and clear in class. very good background on details of latin america not normally encountered in modern mass media. but quite biased and often uses generalizations about various races and classes of people.
