Omg! Don't take this man class if this was one of your electives that you were just looking for to learn something extra and earn a fair A. All tests have to be scheduled and taken at school lab! Grades are based off 20 min online vocabulary tests. And I don't know what everyone is talking about but class is like being shot with anesthesia!

This was a really good class to attend. You meet once a week for three hours. You basically come to class to watch a film and then talk about it .All the lectures and vocab quizzes were online, and even the final was online. You learn so much about film without even knowing it. You can also just go to class and sleep if you want- it's your choice.

I enjoyed this class a lot. It was not difficult unless you're squeamish about sharing your writing with the class. If you are, don't take it. His comments are helpful, if brutally honest. If you're thin-skinned, steer clear. If you want an honest, helpful critique of your writing, sign up! And remember, IT'S AN ELECTIVE, NOT A COURSE FOR CREDIT!

Mr. Riggs is highly qualified to teach fiction writing, but if you are interested in becoming a better poet, you better stay away from this class! Also, if for some reason he doesn't like you, you will almost certainly fail (no matter how much work you put out).

Mr. Riggs knows what he's talking about and can offer you helpful suggestions to improve the quality of your poetry or short fiction. He was a really fun guy in class. He knows a lot about film and tries not to make you watch too many boring movies that he knows you will sleep thru. Make sure you pay attention to detail in the movies; you'll need those for the test review sheets.
