Quizzes and tests are timed. He gives one minute per question on those. Book was needed for quite a few things specifically his writing assignments. Not a hard class, but effort is needed to pass. Very organized and structured. You can't work ahead on assignments. He has them locked until a certain date. Nice guy who replies quickly to emails.

I really liked this class. I was a little hesitant at first about the amount of work that was expected of this class but once I saw how organized the professor was about his lectures I felt better. Read what you are supposed to and meet those deadlines. Discussions, writing, and essays are pretty easy and I'm no writing genius, just check grammar.

Great professor but I'm not going to lie... this is the hardest class I've taken yet. The writing assignments are very easy and his grading is pretty relaxed. The tests and quizzes, though! GET THE BOOK. Memorize the power points, flash cards, and text. 50 minutes for 50 question tests and 10 minutes for 10 minute quizzes. Its harder than I thought

I can see why this professor has awesome ratings! His class was interesting, he is a quick grader/responds to emails fast, and he is crystal clear with his expectations on assignments. Overall, I enjoyed his class. I would take this class again or any other class he offers!

I took his online Ancient/Classical humanities class and I can honestly say that it was a great experience. He is quick to email back, the course is very organized and grades are posted very shortly after submitting assignments. I felt that it was an easy A if you completed all assignments. I would definitely take Professor Gaustad again!

Took the class online due to limited time. Not like other online classes I have taken. Definitely makes you work for your grade. Only problem that I had is that you could not get ahead of the class, he has the material locked so that you are unable to do so. I have taken other courses in where I had the choice in doing so. Super great online class. Course is laid out at the beginning. You have 3 units. Each consist of different chapters. Each chapter has a quiz, writing assignment, and a forum discussion. 3 exams and 3 essays min of 300words. He drops the lowest quiz and essay score. Very clear for being an online class.

Professor Gaustad was very helpfully throughout the course. Seriously all you have to do is email him and he'll help you out quickly. The instructions are really clear and as long as you follow them you'll get a good grade. There is a decent amount of reading but it isn't overwhelming. I really enjoyed the class.

Put in the work and youll get an A. I made a B due to missing one of the due dates. Read his power points, they're very useful for studying for the tests. Don't miss any assignments. Put in the effort and you'll get an A. It's actually interesting material too.

need the book. a lot of reading. will not pass test without reading. every clear on what he wants from you. if you do what he ask you will get a 100. I got really low scores on exams, c average on quizzes, and 100's on all the writing assignments and got a B in the class. put in the work and you cant fail. would take again. online term A.

I loved his Powerpoints with the video's and music clips. His information sheets along with the Powerpoint helps you obtain additional helpful information. I was able to meet with him and go over my tests so that I understood what I answered incorrectly. He is a wonderful teacher.

He is the most passionate teacher I've had the pleasure of taking. He really paints the information on a canvas for you. His lectures are mesmerizing. Funny and sarcastic. His snippy personality is wildly entertaining. Respect him and he will respect you. Amazing teacher, learned more than any other class.

The class was so easy, just do everything how he wants it to be done and turn it in on time. A lot of notes and reading but super easy, i got 100's on every assignment. I took the 2 month long course online and at first was unsure of how it was going to turn out because i was never a big fan of humanities, but i loved it! Just take him!

This professor was amazing! Everything is very clear and laid out for you. He is the fastest grader ever! I did all my work correctly and got hundreds for all of my assignments. If you review the PowerPoints and lectures he provides to you, you will very easily pass all the tests and quizzes. He is awesome! This online class was easy and fun!

I really enjoyed this class. It is clear from day one what is required of you. The professor is sure to respond to any inquiries and very helpful. Get the book, it will help you and it is available to rent fairly cheap.I would take his class again in a heartbeat.
