Definitely take him. He gives you all the questions that are going to be on the test the class before so his tests are easy. You don't have to attend class, but if you miss 3 days are less, he lets you drop your lowest test grade. His notes are very straight forward and the book really won't help you so going to class would be smart.

Comment:

Overall the best professor I've had yet. It was a 9:30a class and I still loved it. Best part was that he gave the questions to his test the day before. Only real downside was that he's kind of quiet and you have to read a whole lot of articles from a book.

Overall great lecturer and class. Only two complaints were he missed alot of classes which made the TA teach them, which didn't go so well, and the tests were harder than should have been for an intro class and for his lectures.

Really easy teacher. He gives reviews and lectures all period long. He shows movies that last all period long which is interesting. His tests are easy. My advice in his class would be to write fast and as much as you can. All his note taking in class is extremely helpful in his tests. Easy A.

This is a great professor! I highly recommend him, you don't really need the book because his tests are based off the notes and the review he tells you! EXTREMELY easy!

Really easy class and very informative. He knows how to teach in a way that you enjoy it and understand and learn a lot at the same time. He gives a review the class before each test, which is the test, so if you do the review, go to class and take notes, you will do great. I highly recommend taking this professor if you can

He's really interesting. He's also really easy. I didn't have to read the book at all. Just read the articles, go to class, and pay close attention to the review and you should have no problem getting a high A. His reviews consist of reading the test questions.

Dr. Thurman has understandable lectures, although some of the subject matter can be dry. There are lots of notes to take, but he tries to make it interesting. For the tests, pay attention to the reviews and read the book. He's a great instructor.
