This class is very boring-Mr Calvert is very savvy in the subject but does a lot of ramblng in his lectures. His homework assignments are confusing but only count as points to help you in the end. Take good notes during his lectures, you will use them on his tests along with open book. He's and easy grader-with 1 book report. Easy credit...

OMG.. Very knowledgeable but extremely confusing.. especially for me, the "Economics for Idiots" type.. Tests are take home. Attendance is not graded. Do the homework for points on your average! Hang in there and I'm sure you'll do alright.

"Is this micro or macro?" He repeats himself a lot, but his tests are really easy. Write down everything he writes on the board and you will be good to go. Study the vocabulary as well. He puts me to sleep, but as long as you read the book you'll do fine.

Study the definitions listed in the chapter. Also, keep track of the listing questions he gives during class. If you do, it will be an easy A. He gives a copy of old tests to review before each test. He teaches in a monotone, but this class would be boring no matter who you have. He tries to have a sense of humor to lighten the mood.

He's very intelligent but yes very boring, rambles about things too much. I didn't show up to class 75% of the time and made a B, or when I did show up, I slept, just keep track of the terms... He's also very strange, he kept pulling out a dollar bill and saying, "This is money"... Never understood that one... Easy but REALLY BORING.

Wait! Stop! Don't Do it! Mr. Calvert is not the instructor to take. First, he doesn't teach ANYTHING, and then all his test are fill in the blank on things that he has not even taught! I would never recommned this guy!

He's very NICE, BUT he's very BORING.I found his lectures to be a slow & painful death. He rambles & his test are not solely made up of a word list! Class avg by the 2nd test was a C (if not lower). Yes, some course are hard & some people are dumb...but this wasn't the case (some teachers actually shouldn't be teaching). Avoid him!!!

Professor Calvert is great. His lectures are a little boring at times and sometimes hard to keep up with. He lets you look over old tests to review for exams and final. Tests are all definitions and listings from book. Have a book report due before final but all in all very easy. Some effort was needed to make an A in both. Easy class!

He would ramble on and on about the same things every week. His test were pretty easy if you did have the world list memorized. That is where he got most of the answers on his test. I would not recommend him to someone else.

To make an A, all you have to do is memorize the definitions of the chapter vocabulary and listing questions. You also have to write one easy book report. Class is useless, he rambles about nothing in a Ben Stein voice. Shows old tests for a review. Mostly fill in the blank (def'ns/lists), you get to use an alphabetized word list.

Mr. Calvert is a good professor at San Jacinto and I found his class very interesting. I am not an economic major, but what Mr. Calvert teaches and the information he provides will make you think twice about our future. He does a lot of lecture. If u listen & take notes that is where you will find answers to the test. Good luck!

Calvert rambles about everything and its usually pointless information about gold mining or farming. Nothing helpful. He shows boring movies, but its a good sleep. I wouldn't attend class because all you have to do is read the book; that's where the test come from. And alphabetise your word bank. Know the def'ns and graphs and you'll get an A too
