Dr. Williams is by far the best Spanish teacher here at WCU. I've learned so much in his class already..some say he is hard, but he just really wants his students to understand what goes on in class...a definite recommendation!!!!

I heard he used to be a great professor, but I think he has too much responsibility now that he's the head of the Spanish department (or whatever). He left the class during our final and told students they could use pen when really they weren't supposed to (scantron final). I wasn't impressed with him at all.

Comment:

Teaches in english, like you are supposed to in 101. Very patient, though sometimes he sort of puts you on the spot in class. Very helpful and understanding. As long as you study the vocabulary, the tests are straightfoward and easy. He repeats any oral part that you ask on tests, and the grading is fair.

DR. Williams is the best, I am a spanish major and everytime I have had to pleasure to take his class it has been nothing but a possitive environment. I really felt like I learned a lot this semester. I only wish I did better than I got, but a B is still good, it is a 400level seminar class.

I feel like I actually learned more spanish than I did in other spanish classes at WC. Some of the reading were not very interesting at all. One thing, He NEVER learned my name (and it wasn't a big class.) he always called me senorita.

I took him for Advanced Readings, and after thinking I hated Spanish, he made me like it again. He's more than willing to help anyone at any time, and he makes EVERYTHING completely clear. Best out of all Span teachers.. Take him!
