Ms. Bishop is really sweet however, she is not a very good teacher. She made all of her assignments and essays so confusing to do. She will in no way prepare you for 102... Also the final research paper is a joke. Expect lots of punctuation/ grammar work... which is stupid to be doing in a college English class.. she gives a ton of busy work

Read everything assigned and write all essays required, keep up to speed and you'll do just fine. This definitely is the ideal introduction to college English/Reading courses. At times it was hard to understand her, she enforces some of her Christian views at times, other than that she has some interesting stories. Had her Fall 2010

I actually had Mrs. Bishop for English 101 and 102 last year. She is such a sweet woman. Her class is really not difficult at all. As long as you do all your required essays you'll be fine. I know sometimes the work is a little tedious and far from interesting, but overall the class is an easy A and she's very lenient.

yes she is an old lady, yes she can be boring, she does give useless assignments and tiny little quizzes here and there, but if you do all the work and essays you'll get an A. If you build a good relationship with her, she'll be more lenient towards you on graded assignments. Overall quite easy.
