Comment:

No arguing Tucker's expertise however he may be the worst teacher I have ever had in my life. Very condescending while answering questions as if you are a moron for not knowing the correct answer. Gives ridiculously tedious homework and tests that Warren Buffet would fail. Not supposed to be an easy class but stay away at all costs.

If you like failing, then take him. He chooses favorites and runs through the information. He just does the problems himself and expects you to pick up all the information that he already knows. If you want a GPA killer take him, but if you want to do well AVOID AT ALL COST

This class is not meant to be easy, and I get that. I'm the kind of student that works very hard and strives to do well but this class is just terrible. Directions need to be clear and responses to the help thread could also be clearer. I spend hours on these cases just trying to figure out what Tucker's questions even mean. Take McDermott.

Comment:

This was the hardest class I have ever taken. Dr. Tucker is extremely knowledgeable about this subject, but is often times unclear and seems frustrated when questions were asked of him. The weekly homework assignments were time consuming and very difficult. Midterm and final were open notes. Know how to use excel if you're going to take him.

Absolutely the worst teacher i have ever had at this school. Does not teach anything that is on the homework and then expects you to get the homework exactly right. Waste of my time even going to this class. Do not take no matter what. Homework due every class and it takes forever to complete, on top of the projects and quizzes. Needs to be fired.

One of my classmates put it best. Dr. Tucker is an "Animal" expectations are immense. The Cases are brilliantly hard BUT if you apply yourself you will leave this course significantly smarter.

Tucker is the man FI 330 was not easy but it's not supposed to be; it's a capstone course. Go to class, do your work, finish and turn in assignments on time and you will do very well. He's a pretty funny guy who actually cares about his students. I'd you like to slack don't take him... better yet change majors.

class is not easy but it shouldn't be in the first place, uses his own cases and harvard biz school cases for the most part, make sure to do the weekly articles, takes 10 mins and good grade booster since course is heavily based on participation, definitely come out with understanding of many finance tools

Probably best professor in the finance dept and one of the best in the business school, yes he's a tough professor but if you put the effort in you'll definitely get something out of it. He can go a bit fast sometimes but he's always willing to help explain the material, provides real life useful stuff not useless theoretical formulas

Take this class if you want to learn an immense amount about finance and excel. Do not take this class if you are lazy and have little interest in the subject. The tests are hard, and you have to do a lot of work, but it's honestly all worth it. I'd say the average grade for this class is a B+. To reiterate IF YOU SLACK DO NOT TAKE.

Dr Tucker was one of the best teachers that I had at Fairfield. He class is very challenging, but defiently provides skills that are extremly valuable in the working world. If you are looking for the easy A, not a class I would recommend. But if you are looking for insight into working world situations and excel skills would highly recommend him.

Professor Tucker is terrible, the course basically involves figuring out excel worksheets that he provides rather terrible directions for. The class might as well be an online course because he provides no insight into anything he is giving you. It's basically here is the question figure it out, I do not want to teach this. Hopefully he gets fired

Prof. Tucker is very knowledgable but is unable to communicate what is necessary to learn anything in his class. He talks really low and does not tell you when he is speaking to you or himself. He just throws up an excel sheet and expects you to figure it out. Tests are SO HARD and the workload is out of control. Would never recommend

Class is a 24,7 deal. The level of intellectual effort put forth outside of class is not consistent with what he teaches in the class. Absolutely disorganized, horrible teacher, has something to prove. Class is overwhelming and his ability to communicate effectively just sucks. Very unclear.
