Great professor, I had him for two semesters (University Physics I and II and Lab I). Homework is done through Pearson's MasteringPhysics. He goes through many examples and answers homework problems in class if asked. Definitely want him for your lab instructor. Being in class is a must if you want to pass!

This professor will call you names, talk down to you and yell at you. Dont ask questions and dont go to his office hours. Dont waste your money on his classes. Calling him rude is an understatement. The worst part is WHEN he teaches he makes sense. He rambles about politics and religion instead of teaching most of the time though.

Comment:
Dr. B's class is very challenging, but he's a great professor who really cares about STEM education. He can be intimidating in class, but he is always very helpful in his office. He likes to roast people in class but don't take any of it personally. Kinda gives off a dad vibe. His personality makes the class fun. I wish he taught more classes!

At the beginning of the semester I was terrified for this class. This is not a class you can blow off. You HAVE to go to class, if you skip you better thin about dropping the class. You also HAVE to study or you will fail the tests. But he is kinda fun in class. He is really funny.

The problem isn't that he doesn't know his stuff, but that personally, I spend more effort in class trying to act like I'm following along really close so I won't get picked on by him than actually following along. Like someone else said, if you're even a little shy, avoid him. He's not that great of a lecturer either, so office hours are a must.

Dr. Belcher is awesome. The class is tough, but visit during office hours. He is willing to go over concepts/questions with you. He is sarcastic, but don't let that scare you. He is very approachable outside of class. I have learned a lot from him and I will be taking him next semester. (Most negative reviewers probably didn't work or study hard)

The professor is there for you if you go ask. The professor goes through the chapter rather quickly and is not very good at presenting the material so people understand easily.

This guy shows up to class, flies through the material, and expects you to tell him to slow down and explain the material fully. Let's you know at the beginning of the semester that he has no problem failing you. Tests are ridiculous, and he grades really hard. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Hated even the idea of physics before taking Belcher, came out loving it! This man is, by far, one of the nicest guys you will meet in Math and Science. He is very sarcastic but aren't we all? He was willing to stay over just to repeatedly go over a concept with me until I could solve it on my own. I would have never passed w/o him!

Don't let anyone scare you about Dr. Belcher. The guy knows his stuff better than most professors I've seen. He is loud but you can tell that he cares about what he teaches. The class is hard and if you are shy you may not want to take it, but by the time it's over if you pay attention you will know the material inside out. Great professor.

He knows his stuff, but he can really come off as a jerk. His personality is different in class than in his office. His tests are tricky, don't let him fool you otherwise. He's good at explaining things, but his tests just suck. I feel like I've learned alot but my grades definitely don't show it, and I'm a smart person.

You people are too sensitive. He actually cares about his students who take school seriously. I'd rather have Belcher any day than someone boring, uptight, and fake. This guy doesn't sugar coat anything. Who would want to teach physics at 8:00 in the morning? Act happy and interested and this professor will respond. Willing to help every student.

The class overall is hard, but if there's anything you don't know you can ask him to stop and he'll help you. He has a fun personality. He basically forces you to learn the material, no gimme points.
